Your business is a miracle! Needs to become a scaled out business model to teach others so that thousands more dogs get a chance like this!!! You have it down. ❤
Rescue isn't really a business. It's incredibly hard to do anything but lose money on it, even in Lee's position. What is really needed is for more people to become involved in fostering and educating others about how important it is to get involved as well. What keeps these dogs dying in shelters is that not enough homes are opening up for them.
I just had the same thought! It would be wonderful if he could be a guide to other people who have the financial ability and drive to do it.
Lot more work than you think. In general, rescues are labors of love not $. Although It isn't a thankless job (mostly due to the gratitude of the animals) people rarely understand the neverending hours of labor that you put into shopping, feeding ( dont forget that many have special needs from malnutrition ) , grooming (always a few high maintenance coats) , vacuuming up the fur/hair that is shed daily, medication administration for those who need it) , trips to the vet, not to mention cleaning up inevitable accidents that happen. You sustain casualties to your home and shoes as well as various pieces of furniture or cushions. It's inevitable.
I wish animal planet would give him a show so he can get more money and save more pups

i find it amazing how some people cant open the door without their dog running away but when you have a pack and leader, no one gets left behind or wants to leave.
Would you want to leave the Asher house if you were a dog? I've got two rescue dogs and even though my front gate is sometimes left open by the postman my two never even contemplate running away,why would they when they have everything they need right here,food,toys,treats, shelter and above all LOVE.

It is amazing the dogs do not run away, do not fight with each other and very obedient when is time to go home.
@@melianna999 would you run away if you were a dog,they've hit the life lottery jackpot with Lee,I've got two rescue dogs and every so often the postman accidentally leaves the front gate open and not once have my two even contemplated leaving the front garden,why would they?,they have toys,treats, food and shelter but above all they are LOVED and boy they know it, stay happy and healthy ✌️
My dog was on a walk with my son and grandson (on leash), she got scared by two other dogs not leashed and ran home. My grandson came running back about 30 seconds later.

Same here at my house - my dog was a skeleton covered in fur when he arrived at my house. He had severe food aggression. But he loved/ loves cats, so I was able to take him in. He gives back constantly & is a great guard dog. If any of the cats get out, he herds them right back in. I once fostered 7 puppies. They turned around a scared feral pup. Imo, the pack tells the newcomer, "You're safe here. These are good people and there's plenty of food." After even just a day with the pack, the newcomer is doing much better. ✌️❤️❤️❤️❤️

You said it right. Just knowing that the moment you bring a dog there, it's the last day of a life without love. Sigh. You make my day. Wish I could bring my adult son with schizophrenia to your place - just to feel the love and fulfill his destiny (if only for an hour or two) of being the pied piper of dogs that I think he is. Schizophrenia is a lonely life as media, Hollywood and society have made the world an unsafe place for them. He's so gentle and kind. I wish the world could see him as I do. Anyway, thanks for another happy tears-running-down-my-face video. You are simply the best.
Please keep searching. There are different types of shelters .. there are equine shelters l, marine life rehabilitation etc... and perhaps in a controlled group your son could be exposed. Here in Washington we have a llama shelter! And if not a shelter there are cat cafes.. there are aviaries and butterfly gardens. I've even volunteered to walk groups of children through zoos.
I hope you find a way to bring the calming therapy of nature to your son. Hugs! 🤗
You are a wonderful voice for your son. You have a great idea and I think that finding a local rescue group, rehab facility, or sanctuary could be a fantastic therapy for your son. As @L G mentioned above, there are lots of orgs, farms, and sanctuaries all over, for all types of animals, from dairy farms, slaughterhouses, to dog and cat rescues, horses, and all kinds of wildlife, sea life, and more. I understand the struggle. Their world is so different than ours. My daughter is paronid schizophrenic but I am so proud of her she has held down a job for almost 7 years. Lots of ways that's unheard of.
Just stay strong they need us more than I ever imagined. I worry about her when I am not here any more.
How old is your son, if you don’t mind my asking? Regardless of the age, being a pillar of love and support will show him that he is loved and important. Once he’s well enough, he will naturally return it to others around him.
However, if he’s a grown man, it might have the opposite effect, of what you so lovingly wish for him. We all want to feel as adults- independent and capable, regardless of issues we face. Our parents nudging us, can leave us feeling inept, filled with self-doubt. Maybe telling your son about these videos might spark some interest in him and awaken his own dreams and desires?
I love how vocal she is, that shows how confident she has become due to the love and attention she has been given. It’s amazing watching her transform into the beautiful dog she will become. The name suits her too, there is nothing more powerful than love ❤️
Love is precious. She didn't like when the other dogs got too far away lol.
I think the pack makes these “throw away” dogs turn the corner and survive. From watching your and other rescue videos it seems having other animals around makes a difference in rehabilitating these special animals
She is right where she belongs now. They all are. A wonderful variety of canine lives in a perfect, natural environment. You can almost smell the sweet air from the tree canopy and the creek. So nice.
Awesome news! When you were talking and facing the camera toward the end, we could see her in the background going after one of the others headed up river. She is definitely a herder/leader. She has purpose again! 😍 Beautiful testament! 🙏

Not only is your rescue:sanctuary, an amazing place. What you do helps inspire others to adopt and rescue from their local shelters. People watch your videos and think about what they can personally do to better the life of an animal in need.

Hi there Lee Asher, you are amazing. I was binge watching your channel yesterday and came across one Video of yours where you talked about the loss of your dogs, losing some of them so very young. Always remember no matter what their age you double down and more than doubled and tripled and made the rest of their lifetime very full of love and happiness. You send them to heaven scar free, and you will see them again in heaven because that is absolutely where you’re going in 100 years when you go. You are so loved by so many people. I am wondering if these dogs are ever adopted out after they are rescued. Your sanctuary is such a happy, beautiful, healing place for them and I would love to see them stay there for the rest of their lives, but I am also curious what happens if you ever run out of room in your sanctuary.
I have rescued many dogs from the streets myself, so I know what a rewarding job this is (although heartbreaking at the same time).
The joy and happiness I see on these dogs’ faces just warms my heart. I feel so grateful for what you do!
I’m glad you asked bc I was wondering the same thing! If it were me, I don’t think I’d be able to part with any of them bc I get so attached so quickly. Lee is an Angel on Earth and his sanctuary truly is a Heaven.

I've wondered the same thing. I'm pretty sure I couldn't offer any dog a better home than what they have. My dogs are jealous of the Asher dogs and want to move there!
I am happy Love is doing so well. I wondered if her and Xena would hit it off being they were rescued from similiar situations.
I am so happy the rest of the pack love her. You can see her confidence. She looks so much better and you are right just a little more weight and her ribs won't be showing and she will look like a normal weight dog and not emanciated. Great work to you and the pack, she looks amazing and she is contented to be home at last!

OMGosh I am SO, SO happy to see this video of her! I have been thinking about “Daisy” everyday since you introduced her to us. When I first saw her and the emaciated state she was in, I immediately dissolved into tears, thinking of the horror she had suffered through. I saw her skin and bones body, her yellowed feet, and the hopeless look in her eyes. But then I watched your face and saw the love and hopeful look in YOUR eyes, the tone of your voice as you cared for her and soothed her soul, and that gave me hope that she’d pull through. I hope you realize you are working miracles in the lives of these dogs; their transformations come into fruition b/c of your love, compassion, and selflessness. Namaste my friend. ❤️🙏🏻

I foster and took in a dog that should weigh 60lbs, but she weighs 28! I don't understand how people can treat these amazing babies like shit! I will love this little girl like she has never been loved before. I might be a foster failure with Chatty. She's a wonderful loving dog. Her smile is infectious.

While I love seeing all your rescues in the house...or on your property...my favorite is watching them run freely down the wooded path to the water...being what they are meant to be...❤ infinity...I would give a heart for all your animals but...that would just take up sooo much space!
I was a girls scout summer camp counselor and every time you stop and get the pack ready to go back to the house, it reminds me of those days. Hearding all the girls together. Going through each girl (who was buddied up) as well as counting. No child left behind!!! lol Love, Luv💚

Lurcher - yes, perhaps. Gorgeous dogs. They don't get fat because they are greyhound X usually a herding dog. Did you ever see a fat greyhound? 😉
Whenever I feel down, I always run to Lee's wonderful uplifting videos. He is not only an inspiration for animals, but for us wounded humans as well. You are truly a special man, Lee!

A double thumbs-up! Great story. By the way, the last doggie I got from a breeder was in "92" all other doggies have been rescues, and they all were/are truly grateful. Doggies that have been rescued act differently.
