Going to the creek/river after being rescued is like baptizing the dogs into the pack. It's as if they have a "ceremony" that signifies the dog has been accepted into the pack. Love it.

When you've been kicked around and crapped on and abused and had no way of telling anyone to finally been free and at peace takes time and it takes patience. People who go to these shelters expect miracles but what they don't realise is the dogs in those shelters are already miracles they've been rescue it is up to you their new owner to spend time building up a repour with the animal. Where I live in England I am a volunteer at the local rescue place and they have a very strict policy you come to them find the dog you want and then build a relationship you can not just pick the dog and go home, it is just not allowed and they would rather lose that person than hand over a dog that has already been abused to someone who might do it again. Some dogs it's as easy as pie they teach you how to be dominant without been a bully it is for their safety your safety and the publics safety. The encourage and go with you when walking the dog/s it works we very rarely get any returned. Then they have follow ups to the homes and you never know when they're coming. They just want that this precious soul has a forever home and not a prison of abuse with no escape. If you can not give up precious time to build a relationship then you don't have time to be a pet owner

Oh, I love that they are required to build a connection before adopting. And workers visit the dog to check on them- that ensures the pups are truly in a loving home. That’s what these pure souls deserve 🥰
We need more people like you in this world. This beautiful dog knew you loved him soon as he met you. He is in heaven with you and the pack. I cannot understand how people can abuse the innocent animals and children for that matter. God bless you and your animals and you are in my prayers.

Clyde is gorgeous and I am sure another fail foster. He fits in great! I was getting a bit worried for a while because I wasn't seeing Tony Two Tone - he's an elderly gent now - a little slower - but I love the life you have provided him and all the others.
