It's these rare classic and sophisticated performances that remind my why I'm still so fond of the peak of music civilisation that was the 80s. Subscribed! 👍😀
Toyah has an intuitive understanding of visual communication. She shows connection and relation to the viewing audience in a warm and natural way, even while presenting in her unique style.
Oh wow I think I’ve a memory of watching this ( I’m now 56 ) How fabulous to have these old TV clips to back on your life, treasuring the memories and explaining the events to us. Thank you! xx 😘
I watched you back then as a youngster and do now, later befriended a guy I think your hubby knew Lloyd Watson he was in Gray whistle and toured with Bowie as well as having a band with Eno ,I met him through a lady i knew and by then he was doing pub gigs and they were great,I went to his wedding and he always chatted about being mentioned in Eno's book,he taught guitar and my ex's daughter learnt some guitar from him, I always look forward to yours and Robert's uploads, great music and entertainment,Best wishes to yourself, family, friends and of course fellow followers,,
I much preferred Tiswas over the Swap Shop (on the other side lol) and it brought back memories seeing the Phantom Flan Flinger again...and, this episode with you in it!!!!!
Giggles. Didn't expect that. Being kept in the full suspense I felt that these pies will definitely land on someone's face but it went really bonkers. All good 80s when more people had more distance to themselves. I love Toyah even more now :F.
God, that brought back some memories! I'm sure I can remember watching that being a huge fan of yours at the time (and ever since!). Happy days! Edit: I think you should reproduce this with Robert flinging the flans!!!😁
Can you give us a commentary run down of what you thought of this appearance on Tiswas and this version of the lyrics. The wonderful Darts also there I see.
I was 19
Happy happy days. The 80's was THE best decade to be young, alive and free 🎉🥳🍾🎈👯

And forty years later she is still doing the same thing. Amazing
Her hair is FANtastic.
What a little powerhouse she was and still is 🖤💙🖤
Tizwas was ace! Kids today don't know what they missed!

Yourself, Sandy Denny, Kate Bush, Julie Fowlis and Dolores O'Riordan.
All my favourite singers are women and beautiful.
Not odd, just so happens.... 🤗
My first ever crush oh toyah 😍 and tizwas amazing

I had a crush on Toyha when I was a kid.

You can flan me from the heavens, but Phantom please do it fast...

Was that Den Heggaty from Darts getting the first pie in the face?? Fantastic clip.
Good shout mate, thanks for the memory 👌
😎👍❤🖖
💜🤘🏿
The original reason for me being forever attracted to women with a lisp.
larger than life even then
"pie me! I wanna be pied" me too! :D
Such a laugh. The phantom flan flinger and Toyah does another appearance in a totally exhuberant and natural way.
🤣👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I always thought ah there’s Toyah the “punk” from central casting. A very engineered acceptable punk.
Hilarious!!
Tenpole Tudor!
I never seen this before. The phantom flan flinger. Who was phantom flan flinger. He was like the unknown professional. Like the stig on top gear .
She is lovely what’s going on let’s go bonkers. a laugh does no harm 😂
"It's what they want".
She was the 80s precursor to paramour’s Hayley Williams
A proper kids show..... Not some gooey puddle of condescending PC drivel
The dictionary defines 'avant-garde' as "Toyah!"
She's game for a laugh
Excrement… no just joking, really enjoyed it an excellent epoch of Tiswas..
(Insert inappropriate comment here)
Flipping heck, get the name of the original song right!
Wooosh!!
@@TheSeafordian What's that supposed to mean?
Imagine the outrage if this happened today: "Shock horror as Toyah stars in creampie film".
Remember it well! No respect for talent in that show 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's a miss-ter-wee....
