They are great bang for the buck. Not low priced by any means. Still they kill basses that cost considerably more. I have 3 late 90's version of this bass!
Also, that bass looks like it has a solid flame maple body, as the back of the bass has the flame as well. The current Spector Euro basses usually has a figured maple top (a optional poplar burl top as well), a slice of walnut in the middle and an alder back.
I like the sound of the Emg style Spector better than the Bartolini/Darkglass combination. The latter has too much mid freq scoop for my taste. Growl is so present with the bass you play. Nice!
I came to the same conclusion. If I'm gonna pay a fortune for a good Spector bass...it has to sound like a Spector Bass = EMG :-) no compromise. But cheaper option than euro xl would be nice :D Any ideas ? THX
@@jacekmalota5571 I have experience about some Ibanez and Sandberg basses. Compared to them, Spector has more growl and harmonic kind of "distortion" . That distortion is very easy to bring alive, and it makes Spector sound dynamic, rich and tonally cutting. Plus, the 35" inch scale cleans the sound of the b string, so it sounds distinctive like the higher ones.The sound overall is more "expensive" than in my Sandberg vm5 that has a more straight ahead kind of sound. And Ibanez sounds too polite to really compete with Spector. So, I'm not convinced that the real Spector sound is achived with cheaper price tag bass. Sorry, this is just my belief
Love my q4 pro with emg hzs and darkglass tone capsule 18 volt.. Love the examples of the euro lts (they have another mid knob inside the control cavity (3 band) that gives you more control over the mids.

Hey what is the exact set up on that Spector? I’m assuming the emg’s are a pair of 40dc, what about the pre amp??
Question does this bass has 2 volum nubs? Also what preamp?
