The cheat cheet isn't for cheating its for making the lesson shorter so you can understand it your way so dont get the wrong idea

The cheat sheet is insanely useful. I started using it in Physics last year and it was my best exam. Imagine that you get to take that cheat sheet to your exam, make it neat and organized, and then just don't take it. It will help retain so much information.

I had the same in Physics, without cheat sheets, I got 68 or something, with cheat sheet, I got 85...
Just go try making cheat sheets they help u reconstruct what you learned in your own 'confortable' way, its one of the best

jungwoo's voice write everything you need to know in a condensed format all on one piece of paper. this can be formulas, definitions, diagrams, anything. design it the way YOU visually want and look at it frequently. when answering practice questions you can refer to it, rather than class notes/the textbook. it’s not a “cheat”, since you obviously don’t bring it to your exam

    1.Have the right mindset
2.write all key concepts in a cheat sheet.
    3. Teach the key concepts
    4. Practice test papers
    5. Take care for yourself
    And,ya, your welcome.

I'm too slow to understand but do u make the cheat sheet before you fully understand the concept
ex: i have to study Matrix , so i take a cheat sheet write down the what i think i'll need in intro and the formula for reverse , trigonalisation linearisation .And then i put that cheat sheet on the side and be like "okey first thing trigonalisation , from this i think we do this and that" and then i look into my lesson add up or rectify my idea ?

This cheat sheet thing is actually the best thing you can do. I started studying this way after my thermodynamics professor told me that if you are able to summarize one chapter in one page, you probably understood everything so well you will not need that page at all.

Aya Saabne I’m one of those people to. Start studying in advance, like way in advance. I usually start studying at least three to four weeks before a test, and that truly helps me better understand the concept so by the time the exam comes I don’t have to study nearly as long. It’s also much better for long term memory as opposed to short term memorization.

I think that it’s important for you to get more comfortable with taking tests. Remind yourself that your life really doesn’t depend on a test, even though school makes you feel that way. Like someone already said- study in advance so you feel more prepared. Take breaks!

HIRITO KUN its not hard. Maths is just understanding it and doing it over and over untill its in your brain. Engineering, when you get into it or any course in university you gotta really treat it like you are working. Put lot of hours into it consistently and you will succeed. If you don't you'll fail the exams pretty much. I failed and taking a re-sit soon and I hope I was hard-working before.

I have Exams at the end of June and since I haven't been doing that well on most of the tests in my math class I was starting to worry about keeping my mark up. Watching this video I realize that I had a really bad studying technique where I would just lock myself in my room for a few days and reread notes and redo tests. I tried your techniques out in a different class just a few days ago and I crushed the test. This video and many of your others have inspired me to become more organized, start reading again, start exercising and making sure I get lots of sleep each night and it's turned my life around. I get all my homework done on time and I'm not nearly as tired or stressed out at school. Thank you for all the tips you give in your videos and I'm going to share them with my friends so that hopefully they can learn from your videos as well.

Practising previous exam papers is an excellent way to build a problem solving toolkit for an exam. Usually, classes in university will provide material to assist with revision which is relativity helpful however with a set of base skills you can build from past exams (and the mentioned cheat sheet), unknown or questions unprepared for questions are much easier to deal with. Best of luck to all with finals coming up, I know i'm always open to new ideas for studying :)

I find going through and redoing quizzes that cover the material as a way of seeing what I may not be fresh on. Same thing with practice problems. They show me what I need to review, then I go over the text and review it. Sometimes just because you solved the problems the first time doesn't mean you wouldn't benefit from doing then again to get a fresh view. It helps me with retention of concepts. Thanks John!

*update: Ive just finished my 1 week exam and its the last day of 2021 too. the results are great, I got 10 out of 10 on almost every subject (not precisely 10 but approximately above 9,5 on average) except for maths on which I only scored 8 out of 10 due to some external problems (things happen in online tests).
but overall, these methods in this video really works for me, not only the "cheat sheet" but also the mind set changing method. thanks a lot

re cheatsheet: what I do with my more technical courses is write the cheat sheet several times. by the third time it is abbreviated and condensed enough to (usually) fit on a single side of paper and only take 4-5 minutes to write. What this does is help commit the ideas to memory AND allows me to "dump" the information on a piece of paper first thing on exam day. Of course, by this point, you won't actually need the sheet, but it will be there if you do.

Have a major assessment tomorrow. But, I think I'll stick with my study habits. I really procastinate a lot but the time pressure of studying makes my brain work more efficiently. That's why, I tend to study at least 2-3 hours before the test and amazingly it works 😅
