    Thank you! My 12v chargers haven't worked in well over a year, and this helped me figure out how to find the blown fuse (of course it wasn't the one on the diagram).

      You'll need the battery to remain connected as you are looking for power.

    How do you test the square fuses with the clear plastic top?

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would have to pop the plastic window off.

    I have an 02 ford focus with no power to instrument cluster no radio no head light alarm light blinks I used a test light to check the fuses under hood. The 40 amp main power fuse has no power nor does the 30 amp fuse next to it I think its for the ac..no start no crank trying to figure out what the problem help

      Did you check the fuseable link at the positive battery terminal? Did someone try to jump start the vehicle and hook it up backwards?

  • @JayJay-zt6cw
    @JayJay-zt6cw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    As soon as I hear fire I get nervous😓.. if I add a circuit do I just take out the ACC fuse, put the 10a fuse in the circuit, and place it back in the fuse slot? Im still confused.. that wouldn't cause a fire right?..

    Can I damage multimeter if checking for continuity and the ignition key is on?

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I'd just make sure your test leads are plugged in the right position on the meter.

    • @nemanjadzombic6101
      @nemanjadzombic6101 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      OK. Thanks:) I'm new to this. I also tried to check continuity by putting down leads onto battery terminals. Symbol of a battery showed up on the screen. I've looked on the internet what that means and found out I could've demaged multimeter. But it's fine I think. Sorry for my English, I live in Serbia. Good video by the way.

      Yes you can blow your meter or rather a fuse if you dont have the right setting on the meter

    guys is it true that you can damage the cars electrical system if you use a test light with an incadecent bulb?
    see www.bcae1.com/testlite.htm

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Billblackeye It's riskier that's for sure because it has the ability to pull more amperage through the circuit compared to a LED version. Multimeter is the safest tool.

    • @billblackeye
      @billblackeye 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks for the fast reply
      yes but people have been using test lights for so many years and I dont think they had any problem with it.. is it a thing of the cars after a certain period?

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Billblackeye Yes many cars since the early 2000's became partially computer controlled (CANBUS) and you risk damaging a computer or module. Test lights are fine on older vehicles. Depending on the circuit on use my SnapOn LED but I know when I can use it, as I have had an LED backfeed and make a circuit do weird things.
