Funny you say that I try buying American. I am restoring a classic car and I needed a set of headers for the engine. So I decided to go with an American company that only builds exhaust systems. I paid 680.00 where I could have bought a overseas exhaust for half the price.
I get the exhaust after 2 weeks because it's made to order. I open the box and inspect the exhaust. I find a crack in on of the tubes. You can see it plain as day. Plus the tubing had machine marks all over it. I call get no answer I email after 2 weeks they get back to me. I ended up welding it shut. But the usual attitude from the company was that they said it happens. No apologies no I will reburse you. No pride in America made. Sad but true

I have a friend who has been in America for more than 30 years, and served quite a while in the U.S. military. He loves this country and has 4 adult sons born in America. He has been offered U.S. citizenship on several occasions. But, he has declined on the basis that as the oldest son in his family, it would be an insult to his parents to shirk his familia heritage.
