I'm probably up there with one of the first and best pilots back when the game released on 360. People like us were the ones who pioneered strategies like jumping the fence at Fort Zancudo, learning how the spawn mechanics worked with the police, how we could take off without a scratch, or how it could all end in disaster. I've spent more hours of this game in the sky than all the time combined on the ground. I miss those days. The game's progression has been cheapened to the point of no longer being fun. Back in these days, when you couldn't just walk into the base, it took some amount of effort to get something as powerful as a Lazer jet. There was a modicum of respect that came with it, even when you lost battles to those players, because you know they earned it. These days it's just a battle of whoever has the biggest wallet.
Interesting artwork Rockstar made, the Lazers in this picture have F-16 style intakes, whereas the release version of the Lazer has more Eurofighter style intakes. Also the Lazer in the foreground is carrying SLAMMER cruise missiles which could have been an interesting weapon, along with both planes carrying a targeting pod which is also missing from the ingame Lazer. Great song though
