As the Atomic Clock is pushing to 90 sec until midnight, I truly believe The Sun Will Rise Tomorrow, this piece truly captures the power of the cosmos no matter what happens here on Earth.
Thanks Mike, I often wonder if you think along the same same lines when you compose your pieces, even though it is from2016, just something that comes to mind for me, very inspiring.
Yeah, that track has recieved a lot of great feedback over the years. Thanks! It was one of those rare times where what I heard in my head was properly transcribed into the computer. 😉
One of my favorite albums! Tornel Keep, Holding The Moment, and Pinegrove really stand out to me. It goes without saying that most of Mike Carrs albums are among my favorites! He's also happens to be a class act.
@@altusmusic_ca you're welcome, and I listen to my purchased copy! I just go here when I want to comment or share the link to your music. Got my girlfriend into your music now. We listen often while we both work on our novels.
I'm just the same. Within five music I know it's Altus and I won't be moving for the next our so. So few ambient artists can weave out music that's accessible and exciting and beautifully recorded. Alrus is a master no doubt.
It's difficult to fit this music into a specific genre, especially this album. It's sort of a mix between ambient and new age, but the best description I've been using for my music is "aural journeys for the mind's eye".

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it so much. I can't really provide a good answer to your question. I guess the best answer would be lots of practice. It's taken a long time to get to this point (I've been making music since 1993). Thanks. :)
Heh good point. I may have been overthinking the question. -_- I use FL Studio to compose, and my main synths are Omnisphere and Absynth. I use EastWest for symphonic instruments and piano.

I listen to Altus every day. I've been listening for about 3 years now. Thank you.
Thanks for making my music such a common part of your life. I'm humbled. ☺️
Tornel Keep! Wow!

Reminds me of awaking to ones self. Very solemn yet joyful music. Thank You.
Excellent!!! Altus is remarkably sublime!!!
Concordo sublime , extasiante .
Tornel Keep, Dulcet, Nearly Forgotten... absolutely mesmerizing. Far more fitting for the score of many films, instead of their overdone fanfare.
Thank you. As you likely guessed, I've been inspired by many earlier film scores and 20th century classical composers. :)
Mind diving … and again a fantastic release! Thank you.
I love it!!! The first few seconds and I already knew. Keep them coming! I'll always be tuned in. Thank you for this awesomeness!

"Dulcet" reminds me a little of "Tears in Rain" from Blade Runner.
High praise. Thank you! I was certainly aiming for a more retro vibe when writing that track.

How do you make music like this?
I must know !!
It's so breath taking and mind blowing.

I think she might have been referring to HOW you actually make it, what instruments/software, that stuff.
Thank you so much though, Altus.

+Altus Awesome.
Altus oh wow, 1993 was the year I was born.
What instruments are used? Or is all computerised? I don't even know what I'm talking about lol
