    Dear MikeCarss, your music is something that in words I could not even explain. but one thing I'm extremely sure of is that this album of yours is a masterpiece. My name is Alberto, I'm twenty-three years old and I'm from Italy. I have been listening to ambient music since I was a child and it has helped me a lot to overcome difficult and hard moments in my life. It still helps me today. If in the future I have a family, the first thing I will recommend to my son or daughter will be absolutely to listen to this musical genre. Especially this wonderful album. Thank you for existing, greetings from Italy, precisely from a province of Rome. Thank you for existing, thank you for what you do, thank you from the bottom of my heart. By your great admirer and estimator.

      I also admire Altus. I couldn't find a better way to express what you feel. These words of yours are moving. J.C. from Barcelona.

    I had a photography series with tree limb silhouettes and various skies of dawn and dusk. Like the picture here. It's called, "Cracks in the Sky".

    They say that the eyes are the windows to one's Soul. In a similar manner, the depth and breadth of Mike's music allows each of us to personally experience his vision and, in doing so, we become helplessly intertwined by the breathtaking dreamscape into which he gratefully invited us.

    I wasn't aware about Altus till I heard Sleep Theory Session 7 today on SOMA FM. That track alone stirred me so much that I had to seek out other Altus recordings on YT. I'm listening to Black Trees as we speak. It is so cosmically fulfilling (is there such a thing?) that I had to write about it here. Yeah, I'm 12 years late to the party, but at least I discovered it. It is an absolutely gorgeous album. Altus is my go to ambient artist now.

      It's always a pleasure to hear from a new listener, and always nice to know where they discovered my work. I have to send Rusty at Soma my thanks. 😊
      I hope you enjoy exploring more of my work. Thanks for sharing your story.

    Sodium Glow at 38'30" is hauntingly dear and beautiful. Uncanny, like the soundtrack to a coincidental cluster of moments.

      I once felt that some pieces might be tragic, but I've learned that it actually tunes in with your state of being and how you feel. And so, it may not be tragic for all :)
      Once again, great work Altus. Thank you for your art and epxression. Expect my donation soon!

    ‘I no longer saw you,
    I no longer recognized you,
    and I lost my very self.
    You took everything away from me:
    my delight in expecting you,
    in being with you.
    You escaped me
    by hiding yourself in my inmost depth,
    and you left me alone
    in your own solitude.’

    This is just so amazing..love your music....but also tragic that most videos that get millions of views are all sexual or violent ..seems like most people are attracted to the things that keep humans from advancing into the future or awakening from the matrix of the programs of the past.

    • @MrDamburger
      @MrDamburger 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      +Don Vegan I agree.. humanity is very tragic. My life is complete ever since finding Mike's music

    • @HunHare
      @HunHare 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I wonder if this type of evocative, beautiful music appeals only to us weirdo synaesthetes. Maybe the ones attracted by the sex and violence hear only....noise? And that "noise" makes no sense to them? Now THAT is tragic.
      I think if everyone could understand Altus Music, there might be peace on earth.

      @@HunHare Only the awake understand this kind of music. All the others are not on this level of consciousness yet and have allot to learn in life. Allot of tragedy awaits them either in this lifetime or another one to develope their consciousness until they someday reach this level.

      I know that this is graveyard posting, but you reflect my mindset completely. And now 6 years later, when humanity is put to the test, many seem to fail even on the basic level... Best regards if you are still out there and know that there are people who'se minds are above these basic instincts. Minds that wander through space and time towards something more...

      @@altusmusic_ca It not have to be a "bad" thing. It depends on where you put the focus: you can consider it as a depiction of this landscape... or maybe you can imagine yourself as a part of this landscape, as a dead soul. I think you have these two options :S
