Here's an interesting fact, the make up and prosthetics Jim Carrey had to wear for the film was apparently so uncomfortable that that he described it as literal torture, he described it as being buried alive. So the studio actually had to hire someone that trains CIA operatives to teach them how to endure torture to come and train Carrey, everything from eating something, hitting his leg a couple times, have someone coem and smack him in the head, and A LOT of smoking. He had to used one of those long cigarette holders they used back in the late 1800s/ early 1900s to smoke because they didn't want the yak hair from the make up to catch fire. So when you see the Carrey as the Grinch in the film shouting and going absolutely over the top with his performance, he was probably going all that just to get through the day.

What Grinch said about greed and avarice is true. They only care about presents, lights and other things than having to learn that Christmas is about being together. I read a theory that Max the dog was abandoned because they didn’t want him anymore. The Grinch took him in because he has a good heart.

No One ❤ Couldve pulled this offlike Jim😊....And Cindy Loo..All Grown up and Lead Singer in the PRETTY WRECKLESS!...All Grown and Dark But STILL IS PROUD OF HER ROLE with Jim Carey
Okay, My input on this movie. First of all, It's most of the mayor's fault he wanted the town to hate Grinch even as a child he wanted them to bully him, and then years later down the road, he tried to show up for the holiday event and he seem to be enjoying himself and being a part of something but then he is reminded of a day that wasn't good for him all thanks to the mayor, who gave him a shavers and the mayor knew that it would set him off and make everyone fear him this whole story is more about bullying the grinch then just Christmas, however point 2. But I can also see the Grinch's point of views about the greed and always wanted more and more and every year's gifts do end up in the garbage. So, he's not wrong, the town is sort of a greedy town if you ask me, the way they act, but otherwise this story is mostly about a misunderstood creature who was isolated way too long and because of the bullying he never wanted to go home. SO, he made a new home far away from everyone and only has a dog only. So, that's what I get from this movie, but still good one and the charismas story is nice in the mix of it all.
The animated version from 2018 is a good version to watch. Also, the dog was found at a shelter a few weeks before the movie was released. The pup really looks like the animated one from yrs ago.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years Ange! This was a hilarious vid! Love the Grinch! Been loving all of your commentaries this year, ESPECIALLY the Lord of The Rings! It's a funny and wholesome Christmas (and Muppet movie) that will tug your hearstrings, giving tears of both sadness and joy (it does for me and most likey so many others).
"I want a pony so I can ride it twice, get bored, and sell it to make glue." On the surface, it sounds like the Grinch is exaggerating, until you ask yourself, "If the Grinch lives on mount Krumpit, and Krumpit is where the Who's send all their trash... where did Max come from and why is he so attached to the Grinch?"
I still wish I had Martha May's Christmas light gatling gun. Not only would it make putting outside Christmas lights up a heck of a lot easier for me personally, but do you realize how much money I could make helping my neighbors decking out their homes with Christmas lights??? It would be an awesome seasonal job to earn some extra holiday money.

This is such a great movie. Don’t remember the last time I saw this movie. The only one I remember is the animated one which I haven’t watched in a couple years. Also highly recommended A boy called Christmas it’s such a great film! Love your videos! You do a amazing job!
Awww great reaction! Hope you had a great Christmas and have an amazing 2024 😊
I'd like to mention that there's an extended cut of the movie cut of the movie that can be shown only on TV.
Thanks for sharing your reaction, Ange! Your mom probably watched the original animated Grinch from the 1960's! I'm a '90s kid and I saw that one because of my dad
Loved your reaction! Merry Christmas Ange!
Polar express is another christmas classic that love and have been watching since I was a child if you haven't seen it you will love it
My family and I love this movie! We grew up watching it, it's one of our favorites and it's very quotable! Jim Carey is amazing as the Grinch! Perfect casting!
Yes, this was when he was still in his prime. So it was a Jim Carrey movie first before it was a movie based on a Dr Seuss book lol
Me and my mom always have loved this movie and I even have it on DVD. Me and my mom also love this movie for Jim Carrey
Angelina, thank you for a beautiful reaction to a classic. Big fan.
I love how Jim Carrey was making fun of Ron Howard the Director when he was giving the dog direction how to be Rudolf.
I don’t know if you saw the 2000 MTV VMA’s, but Jim made a brief speech and it was right before the Grinch came out so he was imitating Ron Howard lol
Personally, I will always adore the original 1966 Chuck Jones animation, but I give Jim Carrey credit for going full pants as The Grinch. He's always at his best when he dials his manic energy up to 11.
If your interested in what Cindy lu who is up to today she is the singer in a band called The Pretty Reckless
The human raccoon 😳
No One ❤ Couldve pulled this offlike Jim😊....And Cindy Loo..All Grown up and Lead Singer in the PRETTY WRECKLESS!...All Grown and Dark But STILL IS PROUD OF HER ROLE with Jim Carey
It isn't so cute when you realise the Grinch only has Max because he was thrown in the garbage too.
I hope you had an amazing Christmas Ange
Fun fact:
Cindy Lou Who is Taylor Momsen, "The Pretty Reckless" lead singer.
It was multiple dogs, and they all got adopted
@@videohistory722 that's what makes it even better, they were adopted.
It was computer animated
Angelina: mentions Boo Radley
Me: I see we have ourselves a cultured individual
Yeah they were a band , I'm sure they had a # 1 single in the official UK top 40 .
@@JimKerr-xl2jt I thought she was Talking about Boo Radley from the book To Kill A Mockingbird
One of my favorite Christmas movies And Love your reaction to it 💚 Merry Christmas Angelina 🎄🎁🎅🏽🍪🥛☃️
Get ready to quote this movie for the rest of your life! 😁
Awesome reaction Angelina this is one of my favorites also yesterday was my birthday🎂👍
Ready for something crazy Angie, the little girl in this, Cindy Lou Who, is also Jenny Humphrey in Gossip Girl.
When Martha May's telling her side of the story, she has remnants of the Grinchs gift in her hair.
You are an absolute VISION 😍❤😍❤😍
I'm Christian too! Happy to see another Christian on here just being sweet
Awesome reaction of my favorite Grinch movie!!!!😊😊😊😊
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years Ange! This was a hilarious vid! Love the Grinch! Been loving all of your commentaries this year, ESPECIALLY the Lord of The Rings! If you do continue The Hobbit, which i loved the first vid, you should check out the Chronicles of Narnia movies, after the Hobbit! The Narnia series is great!
love the reactions, i just finished rush hour 1s reaction and loved it and was wondering if youll ever go back to finish the last 2
my favorite fun fact of this movie is that Cindy Loo Who is now a fucking lead singer of a metal band 😂
Aw no way you've not seen this before this is gonna be great!
What's fascinating about the Grinch suit that Jim Carrey wore was that he went through actual CIA training just to endure being in it.
Btw the next lyric of O Christmas tree is "how lovely are thy branches"
Version 1
O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
Thy leaves are so unchanging
O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
Thy leaves are so unchanging
Not only green when summer's here
But also when it's cold and drear
O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
Thy leaves are so unchanging
...
Version 2
O Christmas Tree, o Christmas Tree
How steadfast are your branches!
Your boughs are green in summer's clime
And through the snows of wintertime
O Christmas Tree, o Christmas Tree
How steadfast are your branches!
O Christmas Tree, o Christmas Tree
What happiness befalls me
...🌲
I would love to see you watch the one Christmas movie that defined my childhood, and I still watch every Christmas: The Muppets Christmas Carol. I garuntee it will become one of your new Christmas faves.
"No family, no one took him in'? The old ladies took him in and were very caring. Grinch was the one that destroyed their priceless family heirlooms without a thought.
My favorite all time Christmas movie😍😍
This is where the fun begins! 👏

Well, her dress is still pretty green too.
You deadass sounded like Bruce Willis from Die Hard when you were talking about how helping the grinch would help the towns christmas spirit, lmao. Exact same cadence as "come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs."
Jim Carrey's Grinch is one character that if there was a "Try not to say 'Mood' challenge" it would be IMPOSSBLE for me to win okay lol
Jim Carrey elevates every film he’s in to the stratosphere.
You should watch A Muppets Christmas Carol starring not only Kermit the Frog and the gang but also Michael Kane (Alfred from Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy). It's a funny and wholesome Christmas (and Muppet movie) that will tug your hearstrings, giving tears of both sadness and joy (it does for me and most likey so many others).
"I want a pony so I can ride it twice, get bored, and sell it to make glue."
On the surface, it sounds like the Grinch is exaggerating, until you ask yourself, "If the Grinch lives on mount Krumpit, and Krumpit is where the Who's send all their trash... where did Max come from and why is he so attached to the Grinch?"
Legos is the company that got the "blocks" idea from this one guy that couldn't make the blocks perfect due to no tools. Building Blocks is the true name for the toy. 🤯
honestly shes cute n all but her personality is fuckin infectious -- its very refreshing and so positive and yet unafraid of being goofy
Omg lego tree! My favorite is the baby grinch tbh best part
NO YOU SKIPPED OVER ONE OF MY FAVORITES! "I know...hairy...greasy? Stinky? do I have a zit?"....no....warm" 🥺😩😍
The part of Max was played by six stray dogs they rescued from the pound.
I love this Christmas Movie Angelina
Great reaction 🌲🎄❤️💯
Things you never expect in life: "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" as read by Hannibal Lecter.
My wish for 2024: please give the Star Trek franchise a chance.
OGs or Kelvin Timeline? The original films may be hard to get into for first-time viewers.
@@ricardoquintero7160 She don't have to watch everything! Maybe: top ten Classic episodes = Star Trek 1 to 6 = top ten "The Next Generation" episodes = Star Trek 7 to 10 = the three J.J. Abrams Star Trek movies? ✌️
@martinbraun1211 I meant the movies, bro! Hell no, there are way too many episodes for a reaction channel to go through. Namely, does she watch the first 6 six films? The Picard movies or just the newer films. Truth be told, the first ten movies can be a hard watch for those who haven't watched the shows.
I like the idea that greens eggs and ham comes from the grinch species and the woos whiped them out
Love the Live Action How the Grinch Stole Christmas 🎄 more over the CGI Grinch movie
The fact that Max came to the grinch in the garbage baffles me
not having the best christmas but this made it a little better
thanks Ang
25:25 that letter D is a banger 😎
And NOW you know 🙌🏽😏 (LET THE HOLLYS AND JOLLYS BEGIN!! 🎄💫🎁)
9:02 Yikes!!!!! 😂
Your reactions are hilarious! My movie suggestion is Horton Hears a Who!, another Dr. Seuss movie! You might like the wacky humor!❤❤❤
