Similar story to me, he is inspiring alot of people. I quit drinking not smoking but close enough. Being alone on christmas with no friends Sams videos got me through the worst of it. Now im ready to hit the gym in 2025 hard
Just a thought, but to help prevent overworking due to ego, do 5 rep maxes instead of 1 set maxes, and focus on performance, thats how they do it in U.S. special forces training where there is no breaks and no acceptable injury
Totally agree on gyms getting monotonous. My biggest growth periods have been after going to a new gym and being exposed to new equipment which makes me more enthusiastic.

I use the 99% lean ground turkey as my main protein source. Works fantastic. With the deli crap sodium is an issue and protein is low. The ground turkey is the opposite. Great protien, low sodium. So low that my blood work puts me below range in sodium (checked weekly, I have health issues). I currently take in 230 grams of protein daily, I'm 6 3, about 190 and eat about 1900 ish calories a day. I'm calling it a mini cut as I am a little soft in some areas, but I'm still getting some gains. Gonna bulk soon, then cut before April. Also, try the choboni sugar free yogurt. Lactose free, great protien, no sugar or carbs. Gets it done.
@PrimeMatt sodium can be a huge problem long term for heart and vascular health. Too much or too little can have grave effects. Monitoring it like any other macro is a good idea.

Iv found when i want a quick meal especially if im coming out of work and im head straight for the gym ive had zero time to eat prior. Mass gainers are an under rated little cheat code as a pre workout meal. Definetly ive been having better workouts without feeling too stuffed or too hungry to workout properly. I get mass gainers with oats as its carb source since its a slower digesting carb will last longer during the session.

@ diet and consistency, I do cardio at the end every time I workout and I keep track of my macros and knowing what I need to eat
