As an older yo yo fan who despite having had some of the best yo Yo's available,I now only have your velocity yo yo. And very happy I am with it. I can just while away the time just taking it up and down,or think about other less complicated tricks. Any chance you could please put up how to do the real basic yo yo onto string tricks? I am sure that I am not the only one to ask you for this. Keep up the very entertaining tricks that you do show even if it does make us oldies seem feable.

Personally Opinion: Put more points on the performance evaluation could make more people willing to get into this game. Too much focus on the technical parts just make it looks boring for ordinary people.
this is more intricate of a scoring system than most sports
There are any rules of appearance? I mean, can I wear shirt, cap or something like that...
How many freestyles do you have to make? (Prelims, Semi, Finals, etc)
It is different for every contest. On the website for any given contest they will let you know.
I feel as if watching an example routine slowed down and scored in real time as it progressed would make the scoring system easier to understand. Could that be a potential video you do?
I don't think that would help the way you might think, unless there was commentary for every click. At this point we have no plans to make a video like that because it would be unbelievably contentious. Over the course of the next couple of videos, however, I think things will become clearer as we go into more detail than we did in this video.
yotricks Not only contentious, but if you had to slow it down and comment on every click, it would also be unbelievably long, and possibly unbelievably tedious. As far as length, it'd be like "Yoyo Contest Score: The Feature Film." Man.
If we could bind the yoyo,then we change that yoyo right after the bind,will we lose points?

Really? A judge told me that in 3 points that we lose in each time we change the yoyo,there is 1 points because the yoyo is die,1 points is because we cant bind it.Isn't it like so?
does it matter if you do a breakaway or not
Are you asking if your score will be lower if you do not throw a breakaway to get into side-mount tricks? No. That being said, both the judges and the audience will probably consider such a player much less skilled player overall because it is clear they have not taken the time to master the basics.

James Taylor it doesn't matter but a breakaway makes u seem more professional and flows better with tricks
Kris Toledo it’s not about “Seeming more professional,“ it’s about the direction of spin. Some tricks need the yoyo to be spinning one way, and some need it to be spinning the other way.
Can you do Stop and Go
Steps:
1. Start with a brain twister mount or front mount
2. Place your non yoyo hand over your yoyo hand
3. Tug on the string until it is back onto your hand
4. Place your yoyo hand under the yoyo and pull on the yoyo to make it spin
5. Then return to your yoyo to your hand
Notes:
1. You only need a responsive yoyo
2. I don't know much about the trick but YoYoExpert knows it
3. When you pull it back to your hand, it will return back with yoyo up side down (String under the yoyo)

Electrilize //ElectricGaming// you can do it with an unresponsive yoyo if you:
1. Get into a bind position either on the front style throw or the trapeze throw.
2. Wrap the string around the yoyo but not around your hand.
3. Gently make the yoyo respond and pull up.

Flight pro is okay, but personally I think that iYoyo has the best offstrings around. The Jetset EG is probably better then the flight pro, but iYoyo is still the best.

Im still confused so what judges count? elements? jumps? change directions? speed? It will be cool to do an example of what counts and not so everyone understand it better not only reading and re reading the rules... sorry..
We will be getting into the specifics in the next video about making tricks that score. This was more of an overview of what you will see on the judging sheet and how the judges come to those conclusions, as well as major misunderstandings over the current system.
