Olivier award-winner NIGEL HARMAN will play X Factor supremo Simon Cowell with CYNTHIA ERIVO and ALAN MORRISSEY as lovestruck hopefuls Chenice and Max.

It's so weird how this is a musical titled "I Can't Sing" and then all the ensemble and main cast are classically trained and professional singers who sound amazing...

Me and my drama class went to see this a few year back and we all laughed so much we cried! It's such a shame it wasn't popular because we all still agree that it was the funniest musical we'd ever seen. :/

I saw this in the west end yesterday, it was so amazing! The lead singer will completely blow you away! I don't even like the x-fcator but the good thing about it is you'll still enjoy it whether you like/love/dislike/hate/loath or have never seen the x-factor. Wasn't expecting to like it so much and a few of my friends were doubtfull beforehand but its so worth the ticket! Go and see it:)
And thinking I saw her live in this. She's a pure talent! I was lucky!

I went to see this musical last night with my family and i must say we all had a great time very funny in a lot of places. we will be going again to see it. My son really liked Hunchback when he rapped! his face lite up. Well done to the whole cast :) i would recommend anyone to go to see this x

Should never have opened in the West End because it's not up to that standard at all. I could see this doing well as amateur dramatics production though. Hopefully they will let schools and theater groups preform it.

It's a shame it closed down its hard though running up against shows like wicked and the phantom of the opera and matilda.
The thing is, this is pretty much identical to the opening of Jerry Springer: The Opera (not the music, but the premise of the scene - people saying ridiculous life-stories and begging to see the main guy etc) and JS:TO pulled it off much better. Just based on this, as other people have said, I could see the show doing well as a kind of cult small-scale amdram thing, but on the West End? Is anyone really surprised this did badly considering the huge amount of competition and the fact that everyone knew this was essentially ANOTHER huge ego-trip for Simon Cowell? Not to mention probably the stupidest title anyone could come up with... Even just calling it "X-Factor: The Musical" would have been a step up...

this may be another charlie girl......when that musical opened in 1965 the critics hated it but it lasted about 6 years or so......i reckon the critics will hate it but not the audiences....and anyway lets see this number in the context of the show...and by the way cynthia is brill!!!!!!!!!!!!
The same thing happened with Les Mis...critics blasted it, but it's been running for over 20 years.

Do you all want to know why this incredible musical is closing? Some genious decided for the most stupid name for a musical. I confess I almost missed this excellet show because of it's name. Why they didn't call it "I CAN sing " or "We CAN sing"? I bet it will be a great success with a different name. As simple as that.
