I just imagine A bomber squadron going into enemy air space and being like “all right boys get ready for heavy flak” the scouting plane is just like “it looks like they’ve got ammo storages with logs in them it’s not even like flak shells or just regular ammunition they have straight up logs”
Don't worry, it wasn't boring at all watching you do that. The clockwork like precision of your actions to get that great result is mesmerizing on its own :)
Man, kan's mortar Design was INSANE. He just points and let's the machine do the rest (apart from loading the shots ofc) Now imagine kan's design combined with moonbo's or scrapman's mag design and you're set for automated log warfare
Well the point was that his design is simply incompatible with the mag loading that the others had, on purpose because that way he would eliminate most of not all of the variability that is caused by the mag lading designs.
@@catdisc5304 No it wouldn't, not even in the slightest. The whole reason why it was so reliable was because every shot had exactly the same placement and the same setup. That wouldn't have been the case with a mag where the blocks would be more "free floating" around there and had to slide into place which would introduce all kinds of randomness into the system, which in turn would make it not even close to the reliability that he has with his manual loading setup.
I'd love to occasionally have some multiplayer monday episodes where you don't timelapse the build and instead explain some of your thought prossess. Like the initial 'what' you are thinking of building, 'how' you're building it, how you fix any issues you think it might have after working on it, etc.
I always like watching your strictly practical build style. (Don't pay attention to the battle buses or uh, how many buses did you make? It was like 3 multiplayer mondays in a row.)
This was fun to watch! For the next MM, make moving targets. Or. Make targets like the old carnivals. Where you hot the target and fall's over. Make it more about accuracy than speed. Like. You have 10 or 20 attempts to hit the most targets. Thanks for the vids! BTW. I made a bad comment a while ago on your train game video. I deleted it. I was drunk and in not in a good place. I sincerely apologize. You are awesome.
The accuracy was incredible, there is such a small degree of variability, but for the distance from the middle targets it was small enough to keep 100% accuracy. This was incredible to watch!
Request for: Who can make the highest jumping pogo stick? 1. Must jump over a series of walls of increasing heights, then stick the landing on the other side. 2. Cannot touch the wall. 3. Must be rideable with friends.
I think if Moonbo had a quad cross-shaped mag, that could rotate 90 degrees after finishing one clip, he could have probably gotten more shots off. The logic for it would probably be the hard part, but to eject it, he could pretty easily have the centerpoint of the cross could be cardboard or just deleted.
First time I wathed this from the Scrapman's perspective. When I saw you hellish log reloading and joke about perspective - decided to come up here and watch it because of respect for that hellish work) And nice approach and creation)
I see the problem with scrap man's log-cher ( see what i did there? ). It's that the logs take a while to travel to the end of the clip and into the chamber, which causes it to jam or misfire as the log does not properly rest. This can be fixed by having a spring loaded panel that pushes the logs into the chamber. It's quite literally a simplified gun.
challenge idea Overall anything goes. but 3 versions 15min build 10min build 5 min build place points 3,2,1 respectively and bonus round of a 1 and a half minute build
The resources collector is already a magazine/clip, so the aiming is all is needed to improve, although using the controller directly is already good enough
@@Anson_TM What I mean by magazine is if it had like a 5 shot cardbord tape similar to moonbo's design, that way he could more easily aim while its shooting or leave it shooting on auto while the collector is being replaced. Completely unnecesary tho lol
@@vict632 but as we seen, auto loading systems don't fair well with scrap mechanic's physics, so a human loaded system is the most consistent and reliable
I have some ideas for scrap mechanic challenges: Dogfight using planes with vacuum pumps with concrete. A couple blocks, and planes will be falling out of the sky. Of course, you would have to get close… Battleship challenge where each round you add more and more guns, till everyone just has a ridiculous amount of guns on their ships Bomber challenge where one person has a bomber made of cardboard and everyone else has turrets and they have to shoot down the bomber. Each successful bombing run (bomber doesn’t get shot down) gains the bomber a point, and everyone takes turns using their bombers.
Kan you always have the interesting way of building maybe one day I'll get a laptop and buy a game called scrap mechanic and do a tutorial on how to build in creative
Physics races! 1 track, 10 races, 1 vehicle per person, all glitches allowed, 1 physic setting per race! So make a vehicle that will participate in 10 races, one in each physics setting. The track will stay the same and all glitches are allowed!

I have a different idea, who can make the best "rods from God"? (For those who don't know rods from God is something the u.s. military has in orbit that can launch titanium rods the size of telephone poles to destroy bunkers)
Community Challenge idea: kAN uploads his log mortar to the workshop and everyone takes a shot at designing an auto mag loader that works with it, that also doesn't introduce variance to the shots. Bonus points if the auto-loader attaches via a single weld and a single logic connection.
I feel like there should be a follow-up videos for every challenge that is the same challenge but you have to use someone else's build. So the challenge I to build the best worst THING for the challenge so you can mess with who uses your build in part two and everyone has to use everyone's build.
imagine making a tank with a modified version of Kan's design where one stands on a platform loading the shots but it doesn't fire until a gunner clicks a button and the gunner can also rotate the turret
That's usually how tanks work... just with less space. Of course some use autoloaders, but that becomes a necessity with some of the larger rounds which are basically physically impossible for a human to move.

Kan's design functions similarly to IRL mortars. Line up your shot, drop a round in the tube, and it fires automatically.
