I must say lm looking forward to seeing the old boat she looks amazing especially the saloon, so rich, it’s beautiful and back almost where it all started, now you have new naughty dogs
That baby needs a lot of wood work. Inside and out. Sorry about the cat getting totaled but I think the Island Spirt needs a lot more development before being able to trans ocean sail. Probably a blessing in disguise.
They sure need to look at the placement of the battery banks and make sure the boat is balanced. Imagine letting a boat out of QC that has a factory tilt.....
Glad to see you got the CT56 back. I have always liked that boat. I hope she treats you better this go round. I know people have their own styles but the wing chairs gotta go!! lol Good luck keep on sailing!
Awesome, I picked up your channel as you were working on the boat the first time. This is my favorite one you have had over the years... Keep up the good work
Booby, loved your old boat. Sad that Hatteras put a hurting on her. Happy to hear that you are going to remodel her. Looked a lot better with the old interior. Can’t wait to see Amanda’s style in the remodel. I think you two can make her great again.
That was my favorite vessel of all. Looks like the owners knew how to use but not maintain it. 😢 Can't wait to see how you 2 make it beautiful again. ❤
Bobby, I started watching your channel years ago when you were on this boat and I'm excited to see what you come up with fixing everything to your tastes. I guess you can go home again!😊
Liked. 20 Years ago, Ted and Todd's had the best prices on paint in the whole aria. A contractor named Jody Powell did blast and paint work. You may want to ask them about him. He did good work and was reasonably priced.
Dear lord.... definitely need to go back to the old colors! Must have been an old couple that bought it.... will be great to see it back to the old colors!
I almost always click the Like button, unless I didn't like the video. ;) Beautiful vessel, and was part of why I started watching your channel. Not a big fan of Cats. Maybe they are more stable and easy to sail, but I don't find them quiet as pretty. If it was me, cause I am old. I would prefer something like your Dark Side. Now that looks like comfort! ;) Happy that you are happy, and while I know you luv dogs, sure looks like a big responsibility and a lot of increased labor! ;)
Great news Bobby, good for you!! We have been the proud owners of a Formosa 56 for the past 19+ years. Our boat is very similar to your CT. These classic passagemakers are simply the best. Enjoy her, they don't make them like this anymore. Hope to see to in the Carribean. Fair Winds. Autie and Janie McVicker SV Onward, presently hauled at Grenada Marine. Fellow Texans, we live in Kemah..
With everything that has happened it should 'feel' like a step back. But as many others mentioned.... There is a genuine love for this boat and possibly a step forward as this boat always had a real charm to it. The wedding cake looking cat wasn't classy or charming and looked a struggle to sail. The CT looks the exact opposite comfy classy and an actual sailing boat. 💪
Bobby, this is THE BOAT for your travels... it always was. Very glad to see it back! Just my 2 cents, but why would you ever go to a catamaran? Seriously! Now you are moving in the right direction and fantastic that Amanda likes it as well! I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
So happy for you guys. I know right where you are, as i am a hop and a skip from you. Best of luck with the new boat. You are in a great spot to fix her up!
Now that you are back to a mono-hole, you should try a beam and float attached to the stern, hinged and pin-able to resemble a catamaran when anchored for better sleeping.
I would leave the interior of the boat it looks amazing, open the blinds etc it will look fantastic, the puppy dawgs will wreck the place wait until they have grown out of the puppy stage you won’t regret it
Dogs only, No CAT's allowed... ;) The memories on the boat I'm sure are heady. Just watching your channel over the years brings back some memories seeing her again.
She doesn't look too happy..being on brand new boats and now a old man's boat is a lot to adjust . White leather upholstery teak floors make it nice and a bit posh dude
It’s one thing to help on a catamaran vs restoring a sailboat. I don’t think she is that kind of a worker. This will spell the end. I thought she was pregnant?
Hey Bobby, one thing I’ve always done is click the “Like” button after watching one of your episodes on any of various channels! I think it’s the least one can do to thank you for your efforts, even for the ones that I didn’t particularly like. I don’t understand why so few click the “Like” button as if there is some meanness involved, but I think the least one can do on TH-cam is “Like” what one sees whether they actually like it or not!
Yep, I loved spending a week on this boat with your dad and taking care of Goose and Maverick when you were gone. I do think the apolstey looks expensive , but not so much your style. I’d love to be there helping you clean and organize.
Nice. When I think of sailing, this is what I have in mind, nice older boat with wood everywhere, homely, character etc. And yes, blue upholstery and wooden interior👍
The first thing is throw out the matress in the master (make a big exhorcism show of it) and buy a new one, then give Amanda FULL control over decoration and refirb below decks. You do the bum, decks, sails and rigging. If she stays you'll be a very lucky man. Seriously ... 'and here's the bed we used to screw, and video, all those girls in, you'll love it'.
It seems strange to me to move back on to the old boat with a new girlfriend and want to decorate it just like it was when you had the previous girlfriend. Personally I would give the decorating a complete make over in whatever style the new girlfriend likes, whatever that might be. But to each their own.
Always loved the Naughty Dogs. While I like the space and speed of a Cat, at heart I'm a single hull guy. Leave the master bedroom as is. It has a real old sexy French boudoir vibe to it. If it were mine, I would live aboard it.
Are you going to have all the rigging checked out?

Just MHO here, and admittedly not a boater, but... this "new" old boat, especially when compared to the light & breezy, open air & views, neutral tones look and feel of several of the newer model cats we've seen Bobby and crew sailing recently, is giving a decidedly tired, aged, funeral parlor vibe. I can almost read the disappointment on Amanda's face, though she's being a real trooper about it and putting on a positive attitude. I guess plenty of "old salt" sailors are partial to this interior design, but I personally don't get the charm or appeal. Hope she treats you well though! Just be sure to triple secure that anchor 😉
I love this boat. It has been my favorite of all the boats you skippered. The new interior looks like a hookers palace. 😂 It needs a stripper pole. Not that I would know anything about that. The blue, for me, was much more appealing. Anyway, looking forward to these new adventures. Congrates on getting her back. 👍
Given the Circumstances, the Boat is an acceptable Compromise for a bridging Period. This Accident may be a good Opportunity to get the Teething Problems out of the electric Catamaran and to improve some of the less than ideal Features that were discovered during the Test Trips. However, I fear that, on the one hand, the Costs will explode and the Time Target of a good Year is far too optimistic. Good Luck and as we Sailors here in Germany say, there is always at least a hand's breadth of Water under the Keel.
I must say lm looking forward to seeing the old boat she looks amazing especially the saloon, so rich, it’s beautiful and back almost where it all started, now you have new naughty dogs

Cheer up Amanda, it’s got to be better than that tiny motorboat you two lived on last year! Great video guys, cheers!
Wow, doing the Time Warp here. Cool but looks like Amanda has some reservations. Time to make new memories from the old ones I reckon. Happy trails!
Yeah, it's gonna be fun to see what we can do with it.
Glad to see you back in the boat that got me hooked on your channel
The Demeter from Bram Stokers Dracula 1992 and The Last Voyage of the Demeter 2023.
Love seeing the old boat back. Looking forward to videos of fixing all the broken stuff!
So glad to see you acquire the old boat to continue your sailing adventures! Lots of projects!
I like the Amanda's approval. Bobby's Previous friends. Could stir up old memories.
FULL CIRCLE!!! Congrats Bobby!!
I love it. This is the boat I start on your channel with at the very beginning of my voyage with you.
Finally, a real sailboat 😊
I click "Like", then I watch. It's always worth it.
This boat is incredible, Amanda will love it more with time.
Hi Bobby and Amanda 😎 Got your old boat back, awesome. I love all the wood. It's a big change, from a catamaran.
Excited for you Bobby. I always liked the life you had on that boat. You had some great adventures on her.
Was always my fav videos you did with the CT. Glad to see it back. 👌👌
Finally a real boat!!
Glad to see you got the CT56 back. I have always liked that boat. I hope she treats you better this go round. I know people have their own styles but the wing chairs gotta go!! lol Good luck keep on sailing!
I totally forgot how beautiful this boat was
That velour fabric is gorgeous!!! Kind of old sailing ship look!!
Bobby is relearning the real meaning of BOAT (Bust Out Another Thousand)
That was my favorite vessel of all. Looks like the owners knew how to use but not maintain it. 😢
Can't wait to see how you 2 make it beautiful again. ❤
She's a real beauty, even if she needs some work.
I'm looking forward to seeing the CT56 back in the water again. Fair winds and following seas.
Bobby, I started watching your channel years ago when you were on this boat and I'm excited to see what you come up with fixing everything to your tastes. I guess you can go home again!😊
Good times on that boat. That interior has to go! I definitely preferred the way you had it before.
Good luck on your new boat.
The salon has that gentleman's club feel.
Amanda did not look impressed at all.
That may be the case but only because she loved the Cat and Bobby understands that they can’t rent boats all year round to make content.
Great video guys ❤
Liked. 20 Years ago, Ted and Todd's had the best prices on paint in the whole aria. A contractor named Jody Powell did blast and paint work. You may want to ask them about him. He did good work and was reasonably priced.
Amanda doesn’t look happy…. She can see her life being spent in a boat yard while bobby spends forever fixing this old dunger up 🤣🤣🤣
SOO nostalgic! I’m going to go back and watch the season of this boat when you originally had it 😊
Bobby, If you ever go Virginia south towards Nags Head and Cape Hatteras, North Carolina please take “CREW”, on the boat 🙏
I hated that you sold that boat. I love it and I hope Amanda grows to love it too.
I always hit the like button. I appreciate all your hard work and want you to know it.
Looking forward to the new (old) boat!
Dear lord.... definitely need to go back to the old colors! Must have been an old couple that bought it.... will be great to see it back to the old colors!
Fortunately, that boat can't talk. Oh, the stories it could tell. :)
Yeah, she's seen a lot.
Wayyyyyy more character than that characterless cat!! 🤷♂️👍(shivermetimbers 😂)
Welcome back to CT! I have a CT 47 that I have been restoring and look forward to seeing what you decide to redo!
This is going to be EPIC ❤

Sometimes life sets its own course...you just need to hop on and follow along....best of luck Bob..
That is such a nice boat!!!!! That just says Sailboat!!!!!
Jus a totally different vibe (again) with all the woodwork in the interior.
Great news Bobby, good for you!! We have been the proud owners of a Formosa 56 for the past 19+ years. Our boat is very similar to your CT. These classic passagemakers are simply the best. Thanks for the kind words. I'm hoping to spend some time in the Caribbean myself.
Truth be told Bobby, all of your videos are great , but the CT-56 was epic💯
I love the CT-56 too!
Amanda in Double Denim..!?
Wow, it must have been cold... 😆
With everything that has happened it should 'feel' like a step back. But as many others mentioned.... So cool to be back in something you already know. Good luck!!
That's quite a boat. As a fixer upper, you've got unlimited content.
You gotta love those puppies! All four of them! Sorry to be crass but all need praising! Cheers
Nice puppy's for sure
@@nigelparker5886 creepy AF
Good luck with all the work. I sailed thru Beaufort a few months back. Loved the area

You and "Miss Lone Star" would look good sailing together.
Now that you are back to a mono-hole, you should try a beam and float attached to the stern, hinged and pin-able to resemble a catamaran when anchored for better sleeping.
The "DEMETER" was the name of the boat that Count Orlof/Dracula used to sail to England. Creepy name......I'd change it asap!😂
Master stateroom looks like something from Hef's playboy mansion. But in a good yachty way!
Beautiful boat. Nothing beats the old ways. Compared to the hospital feeling😊
I would leave the interior of the boat it looks amazing, open the blinds etc it will look fantastic, the puppy dawgs will wreck the place wait until they have grown out of the puppy stage you won’t regret it
Love Ted and Todds
liked, sitting at 22%
Dogs only, No CAT's allowed... ;) The memories on the boat I'm sure are heady. Just watching your channel over the years brings back some memories seeing her again.
She doesn't look too happy..being on brand new boats and now a old man's boat is a lot to adjust .
White leather upholstery teak floors make it nice and a bit posh dude
You’ve been living to good life for so long. Are you really up to all this new work. Amanda doesn’t seem to thrilled
Yep ... notice how she said 'I'll help a bit' ... she's thinking 'this isn't what I signed up for'.
It’s one thing to help on a catamaran vs restoring a sailboat. I don’t think she is that kind of a worker. This will spell the end. I thought she was pregnant?
Good luck getting her back on the water.
I’m really happy to see the old boat again, I know we are going to see wonderful videos soon. ❤❤❤
I love it! Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me! 😂🎉❤
In the novel "Dracula" the Demeter was the name of the ship that brought Dracula to England.
Why did the teak wood degrade so fast?
Hey Bobby, one thing I’ve always done is click the “Like” button after watching one of your episodes on any of various channels! Star Brite rust and stain remover on the the rust and stains!
I love our tri but that salon is phenomenal👍
Yep, I loved spending a week on this boat with your dad and taking care of Goose and Maverick when you were gone. I do think the apolstey looks expensive , but not so much your style. I’d love to be there helping you clean and organize.
This is going to be an epic video journal sir, making gold out of your cat tragedy! Let's go!
I’m glad you think so!
Radio Island, Beaufort, Morehead all have the cheapest yacht repair people on the East Coast utilize them
You bought an old boat. It’s your new boat!
What are you doing with the boat that was wrecked?
like the new/old boat.
Ocean Sailing Boat ⛵️
Nice. When I think of sailing, this is what I have in mind, nice older boat with wood everywhere, homely, character etc.
And yes, blue upholstery and wooden interior👍
I met the people the couple you sold it to at Ted and aTodds

It’s like a mobile lounge ……!
Dark navy for the recovering ………..it will look better than the blue it has at the moment ! 😊
It seems strange to me to move back on to the old boat with a new girlfriend and want to decorate it just like it was when you had the previous girlfriend. Personally I would give the decorating a complete make over in whatever style the new girlfriend likes, whatever that might be.
But to each their own.
Awesome boat !!!
It sure is!
She hates it

Nice boat, but those toggle latches on the cabinets have to go.
Looks cool
