I go into the Govee app and rename the individual monitoring devices so I don’t lose track of which location they are in (1 big girls top, 2 grow out bottom, etc)
You should probably put foam board on the bottom where you were saying there's nothing there or put some kind of plastic and foam board behind it just because you obviously don't want foam there to heat panel I bet you that would help you with your temperatures but that really is crazy I can't believe they leave them open like that because even PVC built rocks at least you have that layer of PVC below the last one for the price of those rocks though you really shouldn't have to do any for the price of those racks though you really shouldn't have to do any of that we have a couple ball pythons that's why I'm happy with my Burmese pythons the cages and heat panels are just a lot less stressful to heat my rack is sometimes a pain in the butt
You keep your temperature in your rack exactly where I keep mine though along with your room temperatures people don't understand that a good keeper knows what the room temperature does to the rack temperature because I could pretty much look at the thermostat in the room where my temperatures are ambient and know exactly where my rack temperatures are I'm sure you can do the same you just get used to it it's like second nature after a while when I say it's second nature it's because I've shot it a million times with the temperature gun and I still do so about 3 times a day OCD LOL
I keep mine in a rack in my living room don't have luxury of having an actual reptile room ambient temp stays around 75 to 77 n all my snakes do great eat every time no problems at all
I love the govee units. But they are not thermostats with remote probes - rather each unit is a independent thermometer that reports back to the hub or your phone via wifi or blue tooth. They do not control power or heat but just report the temperature and humidity.
I Just got a Freedom Breeder proline rack and I’m having trouble with the bottom of the rack being 87 and the top being 96. it seems like only the two middle levels are right at 90. I only have a single zone thermostat though might try a dual zone. do you have insulated heat panels on your Racks?
Stating the obvious, but having an ambient temp of 80f iterally means your snakes don’t have a “cool spot”. Utterly ridiculous.. What is your reasoning for this please?
I literally explain that in the video. They live in the middle of Africa, these temps are industry standard, and their environment and temps have been well documented. I also mention the temp night drop in the video as well. Utterly ridiculous comment. Absorb the content before trolling.

I watched the same exact video. Great educational content

Very cool small gadgets.
So what do you have the hot spot on hatchling racks I'm getting one that has 7 levels with 14 tubs
Thanks for the info
Does the humidity stay around 40%?
I use govee to monitor the humidity inside my egg box while incubating ball python eggs
Great vid

Yes, upgraded to insulated
Dual zone should help
