Proud to say that Brett Roberts first learnt how to shear in Bert Meikle’s small wool shed in Mataura in Southland NZ. Where his dad shore our sheep and Brett would come along with his dad and Bert was more than happy for Brett to pick up the hand piece to learn and have a go from his father Brett senior. Brett’s grand father Cliff Waihape also helped show a young Brett the skills of the trade. Brett would of first started having a go in our very small wool shed when he was probably about eight or nine years of age. Brett Roberts Senior and Brett junior are both down to earth humble wonderful guys.
