The cost of living in Bangalore is often considered 3 to 4 times higher than the cost of living in Hyderabad. Bangalore and Hyderabad are major cities in India, each with unique culture, history, and attractions. Both cities are known for their growing technology industries and reputation for being vibrant, cosmopolitan places to live. However, the two cities also have distinct characteristics and amenities, making it difficult to say which is Better City, Bangalore or Hyderabad. My honest reviews... I lived in both Bglr and Hyd. I found Hyd better in terms of Road network, transport, traffic, cost of living, food. Apart from IT hyd has lot of private firms to offer various jobs for lower middle class also..

Hyderabad has seen rapid development in few years and it's best place to live due to food diversity. You can find all kind of food here and is also known as mini India.

In the last 9 years, hyd has witnessed an unprecedented growth in IT, Pharma, defence, Aerospace, missile technology, Animation, logistics and food processing sectors.
Also infrastructure in hyd has improved to the next level.

I live in Bangalore though I am rooted to Hyderabad. These days except for House Rentals I do not really see any difference in expenses in both these cities. Only other uniqueness about Hyderabad is it has much better transportation for middleclass and lower middle class. Hyderabad provides 24*7 shared auto facility via all major Roads which Bangalore does not have. Bangalore Autowala are more demanding and we do not have shared auto facility. While Hyderabad even in late mid night you can commute in Shared Auto for very reasonable prices.

Hyderabad is beefing up Infra like anything it already had 240 km stretch ORR and already started work from Regional Ring Road (Peripheral Ring Road) if Bangalore gets complacent then its not far Hyderabad is going really catch up. Off course Bangalore is unbeatable considering climate. I have been living in Bangalore from last 9 years but from Andhra Pradesh.

Way back when Hitech City was started during these baby step days Bangalore IT was already huge but today Hyderbad is in Top 3. I do live in both Hyderabad and Bangalore. Cost of living got increased in Hyderabad. Both are same in terms of it. In Bangalore you will really enjoy thr climate. Noise pollution and air pollution is more in Hyderabad compared to Bangalore. Traffic is same in both cities.
People are more friendly and educated in Bangalore. Food you will get the best in Hyderabad. Infrastructure wise both are equal. But i can say HYD govt is more fast in terms of development compared to Karnataka govt.
Traffic is not same.. Bangalore is a such a piece of shit in terms of traffic..

Chennai was the only metro city in South India 20 years back.
Now, Chennai is nowhere near Bangalore & Hyderabad.
Tamilnadu people spoiled the development of Chennai by voting ADMK back to back 10 years from 2011 onwards.
ADMK wasted resources in free schemes instead of executing big ticket projects.
One example: Covam River, Adayar River & Bukkingham canel cleaning works have been pending for 30 years

Come out of extended gachibowli area, most parts of hyderabad look like slums. Roads are encroached by religious structures, footpaths are non existent, no consistency in road width 3lanes become 1 lane suddenly and again 2 lanes, the rivulets are full of waste..no proper public transport, a pedestrian nightmare..without much greenery. You think this kind of city will beat bangalore...never.

Before 2000 Bangalore was behind Chennai and Hyderabad in GDP. Bangalore overtook both by 2006. Bangalore has the best startup ecosystem in India and the best climate. The only drawback is pathetic road infrastructure.
Hyderabad will again overtake Bangalore in next 5-10 years. Hyderabad overtook Chennai this year.

I checked all sources to analyse the possibility of Hyderabad overtaking Bangalore in GDP. But saw none.
IT is not the only Industry in Bangalore, there is Aerospace, ISRO, DRDO, HMT, HAL, Opo circuits, Ola, Mahindra Electric, Biocon, Bharath Electronics, New Apple factory expected to create between 80000 to 1 lakh jobs. The list goes on.

Before COVID Hyderabad used have 5th highest startups now 3rd . Bangalore startups are failing miserably but Hyderabad startups are succeeding. We have 3 startups which less than BLR but wait and watch after 5 years.

It is a nature of Indians to give superficial statements and not providing ground level research. That's why Indian cities are far behind Chinese cities in GDP and wealth creation. The people just talk and don't try to learn or create. Just do back office jobs for global companies like Amazon and Microsoft instead of creating something like Tencent.
This attitude is the reason why is only one city in top 100 in the world in research output that too at a pathetic position of 98. You give me proof and research data, then I will accept your claim. But when your language and culture gets eroded because of outside influx...anyone will try to protect his language and culture..... people can migrate and work anywhere in India....but it is very important to get connected locally..... respect the local sentiments. Hyderabad has seen rapid development in recent years and it's much more better than Bangalore which is over populated, extremely congested, unplanned in terms of infrastructure and sky high rates of living. Hyderabad is also much cheaper and has efficient and cost effective transportation compared to Bangalore. Bigger and wider roads are a big advantage in Hyderabad and Metro also has rapidly developed. I feel other Tier 2 cities should be developed at a faster pace to ease congestion in Bangalore and to promote uniform development in India.

Hyderabad is attracted more investment in past 9 years, ktr is mainly focusing for its development and so many flyovers were built.

I am from hyderabad, but lived in bangalore for 2 months. I lived near mahalaxmi layout.These are my genuine reviews
1)Except room rent and Share autos, cost of living is almost same.
2)Both cities have rich areas and slum areas. My area mahalaxmi layout is rich area, my friend area Wilson gardens is slum area.
3)Hyderabad is somewhat dirty compared to bangalore. For example two sides of tar roads sand will be there.
4)climate :-In banglore every time the climate is cool and rain fall is frequent. Hyd experiences all kind of climate. But in my opinion, i don't like frequent rainfalls in bangalore and hot summer climate in hyd.
5)Hyd has wide main roads, expecially metro line roads are wider, metro ads on pillars, and overall metro roads looks awesome. Banglore roads are narrow compared to any other city in India.

1)Since banglore roads are narrow,road transportation system cannot improve . But in hyd lot of flyovers are under construction. Banglore can't beat hyd transport system.
2)Every time banglore climate is cool, so hyd can't beat banglore climate.

I'm a Bangalorean Kannadiga, (since 21 years) native is Ballari. Recently I've been to Hyderabad and really I got amazed by the infrastructure development. I'm sure to say that unfortunately Bangalore looks village infront of Hyderabad. Though I'm a strong supporter of BJP and RSS. KCR vision and mission is far ahead.

I lived in Bangalore for 5 years. Trust me I would rate Bangalore as the worst city in India. The auto drivers, traffic and infrastructure. Everything is so pathetic. No offense to anyone. It's just the reality. I would rate Pune, Hyderabad and Mumbai as far better cities to live in.

Bangalore is no more a garden city, full of pot holes, narrow roads, mostly one way roads, Bangalore closes commercial activities max by 10PM in some places by 8PM. way expensive food, very less entertainment, full of shopping malls, local dominations etc etc
Hyd less cost of living, connectivity from anywhere to anywhere, excellent night life, less crime and very friendly people
I don’t think there is any city in recent times that has seen development like Hyderabad. The creation of Telangana has helped Hyderabad. A lot of the development in the hunted city has expo listed after Telangana was carved out such as Amazon, DLF, etc Most recently the largest US consulate was opened in Hyderabad. Skyline is getting vast.
The HyderabD airport is a world class airport as well and that helps. Lower cost of living compared to Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai is driving a lot of people from these cities to flock to Hyderabad. People are also very friendly. Food is amazing including Irani chai, haleem, Hyderabadi biryani, tandoori cuisine, etc

Having stayed in both the cities..I would say both are equally good ...though it's totally subjective and based on my experience.
Major points for Bangalore - Weather ( no brainer) , job opportunities ( though hyd is catching up fast ), lots of food options (especially for veg), more diverse/cosmopolitan culture.
Major points for Hyd - Low Cost of Living, better Road networks (especially near IT workplaces), and cost-effective public transport, heaven for non-veg lovers.
