The series has been anchored down in legal bullshit for years (there was suppose to be a Friday the 13th movie a year or two ago but it died in planning because of that guy suing) and the developers of the game blamed the lawsuit for them no longer being able to work on more stuff to the game; "Uber Jason" and a futuristic map was in development months ago but they weren't able to put it out finished before a legal date set from the lawsuit dealings.

Okay, I got to correct some mistakes Matt made (not trying to give him a hard time though, just advice for any new players watching this). He did get some things right, saying AJ is a good pick (especially for a beginner like Woolie, high Stealth means less likely to run into Jason), recommending the Sense avoidance perk, and the pocket knife being awesome. However, Jason is not alerted simply by repairing something, he hears the sound if a player misses one of the repair prompts. The Map perk is only good for new players, once you have a familiar knowledge with the 5 maps it's a waste of a perk as the minimap provides enough sense of direction and finding maps is extremely common (as we see with Woolie finding one in his first cabin). Fixing the car isn't really convoluted, in fact if a map has two cars it's pretty easy to get at least one fixed and find keys for it. Don't automatically disable chat, you can mute selected players when you want if they're trolling/toxic, but other players use mics effectively like sharing the location of the phone house and such, saves a TON of time for the player who gets the fuse. Also, Matt might have been joking, but the person escaping in the boat is not necessarily being "fuck everybody else", the boat escape option is very risky as if Jason spots it moving it's VERY easy for him to stop it and kill the player. Like if I repair the boat I'll wait for somebody if they're close on the map or if somebody on mic says they're on their way, but otherwise I'm taking off, no sense in me likely dying for no reason.
I still wonder how Woolie got through TLOU let alone any other game ever. As soon as he has to do more than one thing or look at a map while moving he freaks out and his brain stops working.

People love to point to Dark Souls as evidence that he can play games, but they don't realize that the DS series is essentially just a 3D incarnation of a fighting game at its core; the mechanics are basically the same (ie. learn the range of your attacks, memorize enemy patterns and timing, and so on). In fact, the way that Woolie would constantly need guidance to find his way between sections of the games is a perfect example of that: any time he had to deal with a mechanic that wasn't fighting-game based, he was hopelessly lost. I like Woolie, really I do, but the guy is a one-trick pony when it comes to gaming. No shame in it, I got the same thing with FPSs.
Can we talk about how immediately after being blown into a million pieces Jason possesses a black dude by using spirit powers to make the guy eat his heart?

I just wanted to say thanks for all the work you put into these. My family/area do not really do much for Halloween and these videos really make the holiday for me. A video a day for a month is amazing while still being entertaining. I love horror films, but too much of a scaredy cat for games so love being able to watch you play the games I never would (although I did buy a couple as a result).

This game has the same limitation as the films: it's not really scary beyond jump scare potential.

All I could focus on in this video is the fact that while Woolie was putsing around for a good 10 minutes as Tommy, that other poor bastard was being chased incessantly by Jason.

Just in case Matt never corrected himself. You actually call the cops by finding the house with a broken fuse box on the outside. You then have to find the fuse then fix the box, after that you must go inside and find phone on the wall to call the police.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the work you put into these. My family/area do not really do much for Halloween and these videos really make the holiday for me. A video a day for a month is amazing while still being entertaining. I love horror films, but too much of a scaredy cat for games so love being able to watch you play the games I never would (although I did buy a couple as a result).
