  • This cabinet can be done in just 3 days. Its made with 18mm plywood. It looks huge but its just 4 feet wide. The sides are decorated with veneer while the door has a different coloured veneer. The front edges are trimmed with pine strips to bring out the contrast. Let me show you how I made this.

I prefer to dado the edge of the sides before assembling them. So I set the router to half the depth of 18mm plywood. The width of the cut is set at 18mm. It is important to slowly pass the plywood on the router to put less stress on it. Its taking on huge chunks so I did not force the wood into it. At the end of the cut I take a piece of plywood to check if the cut is right.

Please source from the local market. Online ones are too costly and not justified for its price.

I did a 45 degree cut of the wood which was used to hang this. You can find this in Steve Ramsey TH-cam channel

Very nice, can I make this type of cabinet with 12mm plywood?

12mm plywood kinda bends over time. If you make it shorter then you can make it with 12mm plywood.

Hi, i hope to not be insulting with my questions. Why does it seem that in all videos like this one does it seem people of indian desent seem to always work on the floor with no shoes on? (Barefoot)...am i missing something here? I'm very troubled by seeing someone work with these materials & machinery without some sort of protection. This is a serious question! Is there a reason for the NO footwear? And wouldn't working upright on a table or bench be more comfortable for you? Like i said earlier, I'm not trying to be rude. I just want to know if there is a reason for it that I'm not picking up on. Thank you for your time.

In simple words we do not worry so much about safety, which is not a good thing. But we are brought up like that and we are start working like that. Usage of table is a good thing but these things are learnt as we go. When I started out I did not understand the necessity of a table as much as I do now.
