Thank you so much for supporting me this year-it means the world to me! 🤝🙂 There’s one more video coming today, and then I’ll be taking a short break. I’ll see you in 2025 with videos covering new GPUs from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄
I play with an RTX4070 OC that i bought almost day one. I play mostly in 1440p and even if i think it should handle well 2025 games on that resolution, i regret a bit not to have waited a bit longer for it's "SUPER" version though. The 10+ more FPS compared to the 4070 shall make a difference in the next 3 years with high-demanding games.
Thank you very much for ur explanation on previous video, and good to know that 4070S can run smoothly on 1440p as long as its not full rtx. Oh and Merry Christmas! 🎄☃
As long as I don’t enable path tracing and leave the default ray tracing mode on, I run this at 4k highest settings with my 4070s paired with the 7700x and get a solid 60fps. It looks incredible! If I enable path tracing though it all goes to shit 🤣
My previous gpu the RX 6600 used to stutter like that in some games unless you turned off ULPS which was no longer needed to be turned off after some driver updates later.
It should do just fine as long as developers pay attention to optimization. Of course, we must count on help from DLSS etc. For 1440p one of the best choices, in my opinion. Keep up the good work^^.
Just got one of these bad boys. On my region GPUs in this class are already almost 150 USD more than USA prices and new generation of GPUs always cost more than the old generation AND it takes many many months for old gen to lower in price because of new gen. I hope with the power of DLSS upscaling and lowering graphic settings my 4070 Super can last me 5 years because I am not buying a new GPU for a long time. I don't mind DLSS Balanced. I come from RX 6600 upscaling (720p rendering) on my old 1080p screen so my standards are rather low
I’d go with the 4070 Ti SUPER. I’ve been using it with a 4K monitor for the past few weeks, and it’s been a great experience, especially with DLSS. It's great at 1440p too.
I really appreciate your efforts! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
how much better is 1440P comparerd to 1080p in your opinion? im thinking about upgrading.. hopefully the performance hit wont hit that hard on my 4070S
1080p->1440p usually takes about 20-35% more GPU power. So, for example, if you are using 4060 Ti with a 1080p monitor, you will need 4070 to switch to 1440p and get similar framerates. I'd say, 1440p res is a great balance between image quality and performance. Plus, you can always use DLSS Quality at 1440p and thus get similar framerates to native 1080p, but still with higher quality image. While at 1080p upscaling looks pretty rough, since it leads to significant loss of details and introduces bluriness. P. S. If you still have 1080p screen, enable DLDSR x1.78 and then select 1440p res in any game menu. This way you can test, how many frames your card can offer at your targeted res.
In my opinion, 1440p is a significant upgrade over 1080p, especially on a 27-inch or larger screen. You can always use DLSS to boost FPS in more demanding games while maintaining the highest graphics quality. That said, I’d personally prefer a 32-inch 4K monitor. As you may have seen in my previous videos, the 4070 Super performs very well at 4K too, thanks to DLSS.
I have a 4070 super paired with a Ryzen 7 7700X and if I utilize full ray tracing at 1440p my framerate tanks lol not sure if there is a bottleneck or if I had the graphics preset set too high
It could be that the GPU ran out of memory. Performance drops significantly in some games when there’s not enough memory, especially since ray tracing requires additional memory to run. That’s why the 4070 SUPER isn’t the best option for ray tracing, even though the GPU is powerful enough to handle it in some cases. Its 12GB of memory limits the number of games where you can actually use it with higher graphics settings.
I'll probably make another video revisiting the 4070 SUPER before then. And I'll cover the 5070 as well once it launches. I really hope the the 5070 will have more than 12GB.
@@theivadim sounds good i will wait for video i think its better and see both 4070 super and 5070 which better when come out, yeah i heard will be 12GB sadly but i hope more!, also Great Video 👍
I think ill go for the RTX 5070 INSTEAD! Cause of obvious reasons. Firstly, the 50 series will have better ray tracing and frame gen capabilities, and moreover, it'll be future-proof, I won't need to upgrade for like another 5 to 7 years. 12 gigs is enough for my usage cause its my first ever pc lol 😂. Loved the video tho ❤.
Sounds like a plan. Furthermore, it looks like NVIDIA might add more features to the DLSS package-some of which could be exclusive to the RTX 50. We’ll see soon.
Anything below the rtx 4080 is starved in the memory bandwidth quite heavily, It will carry over to the rtx 50 series lineup of cards and the only gpu yet again worth the money will be the rtx 5090 the rest just suck
CPU costs more than the gpu. Unless you are a league / valorant 1080p streamer, I dont see anyone *buying* this combo. I don't see the point of this setup.
It’s most likely to ensure the gpu isn’t bottlenecked at all in any scenario (while gaming of course). This allows the gpu to tested at full capacity if the game is well optimised.

DLSS and other upscaler are the Worste thing that happend to Gaming on PC
Why you dont use in stalker 2 with epic preset dlaa and frame gen is that VRAM limitations or memory alucation too full???
STALKER 2 doesn’t use much memory, so you could easily enable frame generation if you want. It just didn’t cross my mind for some reason.

Should I take rx 7900 xt or 4070 ti super for 1440p? I want it to stay with me at least for 3-4 years, so idk should I pay extra for dlss?
I returned my 7900 xt for the 4070 ti super and don’t regret it at all, easily the better card of the two

@velocitydesign mix of med high (I use optimised setting from youtube) + dlss on balance. should get you above 60fps

The CPU is only 480 dollars. The 4070 is 600 dollars.
