- Foreign Returned - A 22-min Kannada Short film based on today's story of conflicts between one's ideals and societal demands and definitions.
The film is produced by N R Harikumar of Auden Kidz.
Written and Directed by Puneeth B A.
Co-writer and Associate Director - Manasi Sunder.
Editor and Associate Director - Nischay Bhargav
Cinematography - Anup Simha and Pranav Bhave
Production Team - Hariprasad, Pragathi and Arrohitha Gowda
I stay in Germany....but when I go to Bangalore, i have experienced a similar situation. People forget kannada and start speaking in English with me but i respond them in Kannada.....:P
A very nice film, few instances relate me nicely. Do, what we are interested in and what makes us happy....:)

what has been shown in this film is very true. When you are not earning good none of the relatives will be interested to speak with you. Once they get to know that you earn handsomely, everything changes.

In my opinion instead of going to depression or start hating family and people around him he choose to live his life the way he wanted. It is appropriate. I liked this short movie.

Nice Concept and Nice Screen play and Presentation is also awesome . I didn't know Kannada Language but sub titles in English help me to understand this movie. All the Actor's , Director's, Editor's , Technicians, Camera Team, Make up team, Spot team, and all the crew done a great and awesome work .

The video must also show the loneliness of parents left behind by their kids who flew to the ever promising land of dreams. The present generation lives in
I ME MINE AND MYSELF WORLD. We cannot blame them. They too are under tremendous pressure to prove themselves to the world. The materialistic world/consumerism has gone too far and that has made us forget our culture, humanity and values of life. We have not fully realised the fall out of this rat race.

Nice watch..some day we make our country great. we especially middle class, have lot of foreign vyamoha, there is some reason for that. The human aspiration is to show some achievement and this we expect more from our kids. We think going abroad is a great achievement because not everyone can go due to visa restrictions. Something which is not easily available is more valued in society. Something which is more valuable and available everywhere near us have less value! Someday we learn to appreciate the real value!

The short story is well made and best wishes to the entire team that has been a part of it.
The theme itself brings in a mixed feeling because of the fact that one cannot earn as much if an individual opts to stay back. If there are openings with similar returns I guess the need to go abroad may die a natural death.

A neatly made entertaining short film. The cinematography, bgm, and dialogue's perfectly blends into the storyline(though predictable yet meaningful)..... And that kid shouting 'foreigngoogteeni....' was mind-blowing! Hats off to the entire team:)

An excellent short movie. My opinion - could have been much more effective, if Puneeth's working with children was shown at the beginning of the movie, so that the perspective of his resisting to go abroad, would have made a tremendous impact. It is good that the ending leaves you guessing as to whether he went back or did he stay back?
The 165 dislikes are from dad's whose children haven't gone abroad.
Good effort-life is full of experiences, both good and bad, we need best of both to be wise and practical-living in our country and foreign country like USA teaches very great lessons in life-you be the chooser!
Half way through the story i guessed the story completely... but nice thought and good work... thought-provoking message...
