Even Though i can understand Kannada, Sandalwood movies never fascinated me. By fluke i came across Harivu & After reading few comments i watched this movie of my life time today.
This is truely an outstanding work by the writer-director Manjunatha Reddy. Really pained & felt sorrow for the tragedy. At the same time anguished over the lukewarm response towards such a qualitative & responsible cinema. I also thank to the man who put his money to make this cinema, for which he might have got hardly any returns.
Guru Dutt's "Kagaaz Ke Phool" & "Pyassa" got cult status over the years, I believe that Mansore's Harivu too will become a cult movie over the years.
Boss, you don't have much knowledge about Kannada Films and b4 writing you should have thorough knowledge about the Film Industry and the Movies made in Kannada which are far superior than any other Language Movies.I think you are having a biased opinion on Kannada Film Industry or short sighted about Sandlewood.
Excellent movie. Really heart touching. For those who disliked this movie.. God please forgive them.
