    Thankyou for sharing your review.
I have the leather "flap" style version of this crossway compact and absolutely treasure it.
I do prefer red letters personally but some can be disturbingly bright. The shade of red used here is quite subdued and i find easy to read.
The print is 8pt ( so comparatively large for a small bible ), and i like the layout spacing and section headers.
All in all this is the bible i use "personally" all the time - to pick up, to take with me and even to cosy up with.
It's so easy to hold and handle and keep by my bed, and i don't worry that it's going to fall apart on me.
I have a few other portables which quite frankly are mostly on the shelf since i got this.
Also i do like the ESV to read myself.
Altogether a very accessible version of God's word.

    Great review 👏
the line-matching I can see that is very good . ✅
    It doesn’t matter if it’s a lot of ghosting if it’s line-matched . ✍🏼
    Awesome Bible .📖
I truly respect your preference of black letter text 🤝, but to me red letter rocks 🥰😍🥳 .
I guess you can call me a red letter “fan man” 😂😂
    Keep up the good work.🏅

Great video. I was hoping you would make a follow up to see how that wrinkling was in that leather over time.

Nice review. I have been wanting a large print compact ESV but have been put off by the red letter. I cannot read red letters, but Crossway doesn't make this one in black letters, except for the large print value compact, which doesn't have a ribbon (easy fix) and no gilting either. Also, as far as I can tell they aren't Smythe sewn, they are glued and for I waht I want it for (carry with me everywhere I go) a glued binding won't work. I e been searching TH-cam for a video review of the Large Print Value Compact but cannot find any, in fact I've not been able find any reviews of any of the value print editions. I don't live in the US, so access to ESV Bibles isn't good, if you could get your hands on a large print value compact and do a video on it, it'd be great or if you could just find out if they are sewn.

Hi Edward! Looking at the description on Christianbook, it looks like the large print value compact does have a sewn binding. Look at the product information here: www.christianbook.com/esv-value-large-print-compact-bible/9781433558917/pd/558917?event=ESRCN
      Hope that helps!

@@BiblesByDrew Thank you. It does indeed shows that the spine is sewn, but it also says its red letter. That being said, the preview shows an all black letter text for Mark. The verses shown in the preview of Mark would have red letter if it was a red letter text. So the preview and the description don't match when it comes to text colour. That's the problem I have, I cannot see the physical Bible so I have to depend on either reviews or the description of the Bible. I managed to buy a Bible from them about a month ago, but it was not the Bible that I was looking for. The Bible I thought I bought said it had nearly 12,0000 cross references in the concordance but when I got it the concordance was much smaller. I emailed Crossway to get some information from them because they too had the same information on their website, and all they said was sorry for the inconvenience and misinformation. I was like, the only reason I bought it was because of what I read in the description, I would have bought something else. I can't afford to both a Bible and concordance, so I buy only one. It took me over a year to save enough money to buy the Bible (it cost less that US$30).I live in Jamaica and returning the Bible would cost me far more than I paid for it and now I'm stuck with it and buying Bibles from Jamaica isn't that easy, it's super expensive because of the difference in currency rate.

Thanks, you answered it in the video - 8 point font.
