Kuru Kuru Kururin is an unusual game that is a mix of racing/puzzle genres. The player controls a slowly spinning stick called the Helirin, and must maneuver it through a series of mazes. The player controls the direction and speed of movement but not the Helirin's constant rotation.
mohoc ( tasvideos.org/... ) and E-Sh4rk ( tasvideos.org/... ) improve the previous movie ( tasvideos.org/... ) by 4 minutes and 10.49 seconds, thanks to the discovery of wall clipping and out of bounds goal zones. Please read the authors' comments ( tasvideos.org/... ) for more details. Of note that this TAS also plays the training stages, whilst Ryuto's TAS did not.

Is it possible to clip out of bounds without TAS and if so, how hard is it to do so?

The wall clipping methods that have been used here are TAS only (in fact, they are still hard to get when working frame by frame "by hand", as they require a precise range of speed, position subpixel and angle values).
But it is indeed possible to clip out of bounds without TAS with another method: getting pushed by a moving object. This has been used in RTA speedruns for nearly a year, including the current WR by callumbal: th-cam.com/video/Jw-mBWI5Yi0/w-d-xo.html

Basically you put the Helirin between a wall and a moving object (a cylinder or a spiked ball), then once your yellow center is in the wall you hold the opposite direction of where you want to go. The easiest examples I could think of are with cylinders:

- in Ghost Castle 2: th-cam.com/video/6l2JvxwQ9PU/w-d-xo.html
You can only do this in the levels with moving objects (Cave 2-3, Machine Land 1-2-3 and Ghost Castle 1-2-3 in Adventure Mode), so not all levels but still pretty neat.
