If Jurassic Park survival becomes a hit I would like that more dark horror survival feel being brought back in both future games as well as the next movie that's just my opinion great video klayton take it easy.
Same. I know the staunch defenders of the World trilogy LOVE to claim that "World was never meant to be a horror-thriller series, stop acting like it should be," but I always felt like Jurassic Park was at its best when it was dark and scary. And I personally really want them to return to that, like they did for elements of Camp Cretaceous
The biggest problem with rebooting this franchise is that Universal/Speilberg are doing it WAY too soon. Look how Bumblebee struggled via coming out after the final Bayformers movie.
@@KlaytonFioriti you and I share the same obsession with Jurassic Park and Jurassic World because I loved dinosaurs being dinosaurs and coexistence with the modern world of animals and I practically grew up watching Dinosaur, and it’s where I got my childhood love for dinosaurs. And it’s my all-time favorite Disney film. What would Disney film, Dinosaur, be like if Steven Spielberg directed the film rather than Ralph Zondag and Eric Leighton? In my terms, theoretically, if Spielberg used the same filming experience like in Jurassic Park 7 years earlier, a few scenes they would have used live-action animatronic dinosaurs with some close-up shots on the characters to make them look more real.
I'd say that the difference is that the Bayformers had 5 movies and everyone got sick of them after the 4th one or so on top of the many problems the movies had from the start due to Bay's style of making movies. Meanwhile JP is a different beast in itself to which all you need is the illusion of order from the start for chaos to follow with the Dinosaurs being the largest domino to fall and the humans needing to either be fodder or likable that we don't want them to die. JW did start strong but that was honestly it with the 2 other movies focusing on the other aspects of JP that didn't really keep the dinosaurs as the biggest thing to keep an eye out for in this dinosaur infested world.

I just read Jurassic Park and The Lost World books for the first time and I would LOVE if Netflix (or another streamer) got the rights to develop those two books into two 8-10 episode seasons that follow the books to the letter. There are SOOO many great story lines and character development in the books that the movies alter or ignored due to time constraints (2 hour movie).
...and character development goes for the DINOS, too....not just the humans. The raptors are so much more aggressive and downright brutal in the books.
Most shows made by streaming services suck, though. If Netflix picked it up, it would probably end up being some cheaply shot garbage with terrible CGI.
I love this channel for two reasons: 1. It gets me optimistic about Jurassic Park and it’s future 2. It shows that there are people just like me out there
In my opinion, JP works as long as the story is kept in the context of an island, with a few unsupported characters. I believe it is one of the main characteristics of the series (also book series) that has always made me turn up my nose at the idea of expanding the plot to the whole world, so more contained and simpler stories are welcome.
The Monsterverse has got the big and bombastic, somewhat cartoonish, tone nailed, while Jurassic Park/World should be the darker, smaller-stakes, more suspenseful counteroint to Godzilla and Kong. A new set of stories, be it games, TV, or animation would be an ideal way to revive that original tone. And post-Fallen Kingdom movies can integrate this tone in some way, show that the coexistence idea is fraught with problems.
I wonder if we’ll be able to gain access to the emergency bunker and what lies within: SPAS-12s, M16s, G3s. Maybe as an endgame unlock, something that will take a lot of effort anyhow
6:03 hit me exactly were I needed it. In my own opinion, if Survival becomes a serious hit (which it probably will), they may actually be able to redefine what Jurassic Park is to the public. In general, when random people who are not fans talk of Jurassic Park, they usually just think of a classic, groundbreaking film about Dinoaurs breaking out of cages and eating people when in reality it is so much more. It's about Nature punishing Mankind for his arrogence through horror, death and anguish. All that wonderous stuff is just the boundless and deluded mind of humanity. If Survival can redirect audiences into realising the message that Crichton started then it will not only be cemented in the hall of fame, but may also get Jurassic back on track for the future. Fail, and this might as well be the nails in the coffin for Jurassic.
Hopefully the compsognathus are in this game as we know they snuck onto nublar before the 1993 incident via boat from sorna, this was proven in the 1994 cleanup
Pretty cool video of the new Jurassic Park Survival Horror Game and pretty much agree that it could be important to the Jurassic Franchises especially with the first Jurassic Park Movie from 1993 and also agree that it could bring the series back to the basics and life definitely finds a way with this and it cannot get any better with this. Great work Klayton and As Always, Take It Easy and Life Finds A Way.
Personally, I’d like to see a JP reboot as a limited series that more closely follows Crichton’s book. Dr. Thomas Holtz and David Hone have some great tyrannosaur lectures.
Very interesting video, Klayton! I am cautiously optimistic about this new video game, and I really hope it is well made, and if so, successful as well. But we'll have to wait and see I suppose.
I think what they need to do is establish BioSyn as a genuine threat even after Dominion. Frame the movie version of Lewis Dodson as an underling that was working for someone much more dangerous within the company.
All skepticism aside, I’m really hopeful for this game. I’m hoping it’s like Alien Isolation. Brings the series back to its horror roots, like the novels. We REALLY need a good JP game right now to breath some new life and optimism into the series.
I'm looking forward to survival. I'm excited to see if we can explore the island and park. I wonder if they will put stuff into the game that was cut from the film and the novel.
I'm really excited for this game! Klayton is there any way to contact you? I still have that prequel story Three Nights in Kenya in the pipeline for you that I wrote. I tried the mailadress you gave me back in 2018 but it doesn't work.
I just gotta say I loved that scene in “The Lost World” with the raptors in the tall grass! I would love to see a scene like that reimagined and done differently in any new Jurassic park material.
Hey, I'm all for this back to the past concept! Sounds like a lot of fun! After watching Camp Cretaceous unapologetically and viciously jump the shark during the last season, it's nice to have hope for my beloved franchise again.
So glad you referred to alien isolation in relation to this upcoming game. Isolation was peak survival horror based on a movie franchise and deserves a sequel, and JP Survival needs to be in the same vein. Dinosaurs deserve to be scary again.
The direction the Jurassic Park franchise takes in the future really depends on how Universal handles the intellectual property and the creative decisions they make. While it's true that the JP Survival game could offer an experience that harkens back to the series' basics, that doesn't guarantee that the movies will follow the same path.. My confidence in the quality of future films may have diminished due to FK and Domionion but as a fan, it's natural to hope that Universal makes decisions that respect and celebrate what made Jurassic Park so beloved in the first place. However, only time will tell if the franchise will return to its roots in a satisfying way. And I hope the game comes out as soon as possible. Every time I'm on my console, I check the PlayStation Store to see if it has a release date. As always, great video Klayton!
Something about the tone and feel of the trailer and main character make me very nervous. A lot of Sweet Baby Inc vibes all around. On the other hand this is a game I've always wanted and should be super hype for. Judging by the comments, I'm definitely alone here and it seems there's universal hype and approval from the rest of the fan base. Here's to hoping they're right and I'm wrong. Nothing would make me happier than finally having a fantastic JP survival game.
I'm hoping that these JP projects expand upon some of the things that occured between the other films. In order to preserve the park, InGen had a lot of cleanup, but all of it has been done off camera. Perhaps having a smaller scale film that focuses on a team of soldiers having to accomplish a goal such as wrangling the T-Rex, acquiring abandoned InGen data and seqcuring the herbivores would be neat, and if Scarlet Johansen plays a character that is similar to Regina from the Dino Crisis games, we could have something thats finally a bit more dark and tense on our hands. JP Survical will be a step in the right direction. Regarding the films, we can only hope...
Having a cannon look on what realy happened after jp1 can open new doors to more jurassic park movies or projects. Still hope they would do somenthing whit the look and felling (atmosphere ) of the lost world, or just a final look into isla sorna.
this is cool. id like to see the trex actually be a trex and not lose to every dinosaur when its the top dinosaur, but also doesnt need to go around killing everything as its still an animal. Theres alot of grief about blue but i like that we got to see the smart side of raptors and it happens to any animal when its raised by humans. Shes still dangerous as a raptor thou.
I really really want a Jurassic Park 3 survival game. I’ve always loved Jurassic Park 3 because that film made Isla Sorna actually feel scary. So, a Jurassic Park 3 survival game on Isla Sorna would be awesome in my opinion. I would also like to see a survival game about The Lost World: Jurassic Park as well with us trying to survive on Isla Sorna and even us trying to survive the T-Rex rampage in San Diego.
Honestly I think we should go back to the Jurassic Park Era but yet again leaving Jurassic World Era behind isn't a good idea. I think it's good idea to explore the options but bringing it back to Jurassic Park thing. I think basing it off the novels and putting the dinosaurs back to the islands not Isla Nublar but Isla Muerta being the new island to explore making sense becuase the movie is about Chaos Theory and all that I think this new trilogy coming is about that very thing this time around. Bringing back Tim Murphy to save the dinosaurs and his grandfathers legacy of Jurassic Park and being put back to the islands away from human civilization would be ideal but also bringing forward "Jurassic Park Extinction" based story which is what lead the to rescuing them from being put down by local governments.
I love the comparison Klayton makes with Alien Isolation, it really did pull the alien franchise in a better direction after prometheus, hopefully JP Survival will act as the same catalyst!
Great work as always, and can't wait for this game to be released. If it does a good job I wonder just how different the dinosaurs will behave. I feel like we will need to deal mostly with the Dilos and Rex at first then the raptor will take over as the new sorta main antag. I would love to see newer dinosaurs we have yet to see as well that we know were on the island and if Jurassic Park: The Games sorta cannon is taken into effect we may have more than one raptor to deal with cause they had those replacement raptors get loose in that game. It would be cool to see Scarface as a true threat in a game like this.
Everything you're saying I 1000% agree in support with but we know for a fact it definitely coincides with universals vision of printing money. This is why the last two Jurassic world suffered and to a degree the last Jurassic Park. Whether it becomes about economics versus true storytelling and structure, you're going to have problems. Stuff is not done for the fans anymore. It's done only for the money. It's quite ironic actually because when you take care of the fans, the money always follows. Look at every major film and TV project that started off simple but was well designed, reviewed and executed. The money always flowed and the problem with Hollywood money is that Hollywood money wants more money. I don't mind paying for a great experience but it needs to be just that. Keep up the great work my friend. I always get excited when TH-cam reminds me that you've posted some new material that I happen to watch yet
I agree, ever since Dominion came out I’ve had to stop watching Klayton’s videos because in damn near every single one, he whines about dominion in some way. Dominion wasn’t perfect but it’s nowhere near as bad as what he makes it out to be, but nooo to him it’s the worst thing to ever exist because it didn’t turn the dinosaurs into mindless city-destroying kaijus or whatever. It’s also strange to me how he was so eager to defend the first two JW films (especially FK, when it was getting absolutely shit on by the fanbase), but for some reason with Dominion he just doesn’t bother and hates it to no end. Which I thought was weird considering it felt the most like something Michael chrichton himself would write, and Klayton claims to love Michael chrictons works.
@@BabyIvy57I don’t hate, I still have a soft spot for Jurassic World, it’s just that I’m worried that they just throw things in the game that won’t make sense. But, hey, who the hell cares. I’m excited for the game anyway.
I am really curious about how they handle any video game protagonist's escape route if helicopter evac had only just left with the cast of the first movie. Maybe you could get out by boat?. We'll see.
I hope we get a baryonyx and metriacanthosaurus and Mabey a herrasaurus in the og 90s style like something that looks like a Gregory s Paul painting tired of the jw aesthetic
Watch the movies before ever reading the books. And well, it was a good time! A lot of “oh no way they loved while that person died?!” Cool cool. Would be cool to see the more horror/suspense that the OG book had in it.
It would be really cool if Saber Interactive would integrate a vehicle driving system into the next Jurassic Park: Survival. There could be different camera perspectives during confrontations with the dinosaurs. Why not also a co-op mode for greater immersion and more pressure on the players. One player to set up a winch or a bridge and the other to drive a vehicle with a permanent threat related to the elements, the hostile terrain and the dinosaurs. What do you think?
Honestly it sounds great and all but I don't play video games. But Klayton you always give nice videos and that is why I will always give you credit for that. By the way I'm a big huge Jurassic Park fan as well I wish I could join a movie.😊
@@KlaytonFioriti Of course here I was worrying over nothing 😂 cheers mate, honestly I’d love them to return to that horror side of things like say we get a first person view of the crib scene from the books to help set the dark tone of Michael Crichtons work
I think the Jurassic World aspect of the franchise struggles for two main reasons. The first is that the dinosaurs are treated as main characters and aren't respected. None of the dinosaurs in the JW franchise are scary. After you realize that Claire and Owen have epic plot armor and the dinosaurs only kill bad guys (with the exception of Zara), it takes all the tension out of it. Tension is a HUGE part of what made the original JP so good. The other problem is the human characters/human story. The characters of the JW franchise either lack character arcs or have very weak ones. A lot of them also aren't interesting and forgetable. In JP you know all the character's names when you finish it. I did not feel the same with JW. We need to bring back scary dinosaurs, meaningful character arcs and memorable characters.
I am really excited to see something to go back to the originals and not Jurassic world Dominion. I hope that this game will have that Jurassic Park aspect to it. And maybe in the future we can get something like Treaspasser if this game is a hit.
My hope is that they return the Dinosaurs behaviours to be more like BIRDS again. When they used to keep that in mind all the Dinosaurs felt more realistic and more terrifying.
I would love a game or movie of the development of Site B. Creating and raising the dinos all while dealing with the unexpected consequences. The first raptor escape, or figuring out what it takes to contain a T-Rex.
Hey Klayton , I personally don’t think the cryogenic can will be in it, but if it is, I’d like to get Nedry’s body. Like that’d be cool. I’d like to hear your thoughts or like anyone else’s. I only also say this because Camp Cretaceous is canon.
I never really played the 2011 Jurassic Park game, (mainly because I hate linear and button pushing games) but I would love to see a reboot or something of the sort like the ps1 The Lost World game, except open world. Dominion did definitely tie in to the canon of Jurassic Park, but I believe this next movie (like you said) and/or game should and would be amazing for the franchise if yes. They did go back to the original JP, but from a different view point. Do you think JP survival is going to tie into the new movie?

Story wise, something I’m slightly worried about is that there is only one person on the island.
_that we know of_
It's Muldooning time
I have a lot of hype for this and it going back to the first movie I’m so excited to see what it brings!!
So glad you referred to alien isolation in relation to this upcoming game. Isolation was peak survival horror based on a movie franchise and deserves a sequel, and JP Survival needs to be in the same vein. Dinosaurs deserve to be scary again.
I just hope they go for the horror route tbh Jurassic park was better when it treated these creatures like animals and Predators
I agree they are not pets and they are not monsters they are scary but Innocent animals
I’m of the same opinion as you. I don’t want it to be a cringey “I am woman hear me roar” game. But it does look like it could be genuinely Jurassic.
I shouldn’t ask this, but how would anyone feel if Jurassic park survival implemented quick timing events at certain points?
I hope it's open world because if it is this will be a W for this game. Unless it's been told that its not open world and I didn't hear about it...
Alien Isolation is absolutely terrifying, I hope this game gives that same atmosphere.
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
I can't wait to play this game. It looks very promising and would bring the Adventure and Horror Genre to a new level
i have a feeling this velociraptor is gonna be the biggest menace in the game
I really like the point you made about alien isolation being a good example of what they could do with survivor. I hope It crosses their minds
I knew I recognised your voice lol I love your dino channel.
Having a cannon look on what realy happened after jp1 can open new doors to more jurassic park movies or projects.
Still hope they would do somenthing whit the look and felling (atmosphere ) of the lost world, or just a final look into isla sorna.
I can't wait to see what Jurassic Park survival game will be when it's released
One of the first things I thought when I heard this was that they may be returning to the 90’s.
I hope this game is open - world style can't wait for itttt❤
this is cool. id like to see the trex actually be a trex and not lose to every dinosaur when its the top dinosaur, but also doesnt need to go around killing everything as its still an animal.
Which systems will this be playable on?
Great analysis and excited about the horror of dinosaurs 🦕 🦖💀
I think they should add the Herrerasaurus, tylosaurus and especially the troodon it would make so much scarier 😅
First! CHRIST IS KING
Honestly, I'd appreciate it if you didn't constantly put down Dominion so harshly like that, I actually like that damn movie. Yeah, I SAID IT!
I'm excited for this game! And very ready for the dinosaurs to be serious and more of a threat again.
I hope they don’t put some Jurassic World stuff in the game.
Stop being a hater 🙄 they can do whatever they want with the game
It depends on if it’s cool and dark. If it’s silly I don’t want it personally
@@BabyIvy57I don’t hate, I still have a soft spot for Jurassic World, it’s just that I’m worried that they just throw things in the game that won’t make sense. But, hey, who the hell cares. I’m excited for the game anyway.

@@KlaytonFioriti I swear if they put Nasutoceratops instead of Triceratops in Jurassic Park Survival. I'll lose it.
anything thats not Jurassic World is just a +
Out of the entire TellTale game, the one thing I want to see canon so hard is the Troodons. The nightmare creatures were amazing!!!!
An Alien Isolation style Jurassic Park game sounds so awesome.
Any DEI "Narrative Consultant Groups" involved in this game?
I hope not lol
@@KlaytonFioriti Seems fine so far but I'm keeping my eye on it.
Steam page is up. That's a big relief.
This has got to be a Site B project!
Klayton, do you have a discord or anything like that?
I have a question, how often do you watch the Jurassic Park series (1-6) a year/month? Love your passion, and love JP!
Honestly it sounds great and all but I don't play video games. But Klayton you always give nice videos and that is why I will always give you credit for that. By the way I'm a big huge Jurassic Park fan as well I wish I could join a movie.😊
Thanks buddy!
I thought they were going to cancel it? Is it still coming just to ps5 I would have loved to play this on ps4
Yeah it should still be coming out. I think the confusion was just over the company
@@KlaytonFioriti
Of course here I was worrying over nothing 😂 cheers mate, honestly I’d love them to return to that horror side of things like say we get a first person view of the crib scene from the books to help set the dark tone of Michael Crichtons work
I think the Jurassic World aspect of the franchise struggles for two main reasons.
And maybe in the future we can get something like Treaspasser if this game is a hit.
when she shuts the door in the T-Rex's face, it reminds me of the Sega CD Jurassic Park game.
My hope is that they return the Dinosaurs behaviours to be more like BIRDS again. When they used to keep that in mind all the Dinosaurs felt more realistic and more terrifying.
Survival of the Fittest.❤
I would love a game or movie of the development of Site B. Creating and raising the dinos all while dealing with the unexpected consequences. The first raptor escape, or figuring out what it takes to contain a T-Rex.
Hey Klayton , I personally don’t think the cryogenic can will be in it, but if it is, I’d like to get Nedry’s body. Like that’d be cool. I’d like to hear your thoughts or like anyone else’s. I only also say this because Camp Cretaceous is canon.
I am a Jurassic park fan too but i enjoyed every film and series produced upto now the thing is that dinosaurs are dinosaurs .
Its not the tour I expected, but i'll take it :P
