Sir , how do we get to know ,
How many abort points are enough ?
Do we need to plot on each leg of passage plan ?
What if the leg to too long then what is raito of plotting the abort points ??
In short , how do I come to know sir ,
This is point I need abort points ?

Good question:) There is a misconception among students that there should be only 1-2 abort points especially near the pilot station. However, remember that it is your passage plan and the together with the Master you may have as many abort points as you deem suitable. It depends on the kind of passage and the waters you are transiting.
Remember the principles behind abort point, and if it applies to many situations in a single passage, then you may have as many abort points as you or the safe passage of the vessel requires.
The important thing about drawing abort pints is: Ask yourself if there is really a need for an abort point and can it be justified to the Master?
      Hope this helps.

Regarding abort point, what if my abort point is before the pilot boarding station and if i have crossed my abort point to pickup the pilot but the pilotage got cancelled then what should we do?

@@buanvino That is why you should have a contingency anchorage or a contingency plan:)
