What is the Pivot point and how does it contribute to the turning lever for a ship???

    If you are making way with strong wind at the starboard side. What will happen? We knew that the pivot point 1/4 from the bow.

      You are asking me very good questions buddy, i need to study some more books again:)
      i think the pivot point of an anchored vessel shifts to the hawse pipe of the anchor that has been let go.
