Great point!👌. Yes that makes it a lot easier when you are hot n heavy in calving season and multiple calves being dropped daily. How have you been my friend? Weathers friggin crazy this winter eh?
Yep, bags are a poor indicator. Have some cows that will bag up a month in advance. The swelling, a bit of discharge, and the calf shifting upwards. All really good signs. We always feed off the ground. Have for years. Either through bale grazing or rolling them out. Gives everyone a chance to eat at a good bale. I always buy the better spears, but I have a pile of broken ones like that. Lol 😆
Your absolutely right Chad 👍🏻. Seems like some of the less aggressive cows get more good hay when they aren't in feeders. Spears are an endless battle out here 😂. Warmed up nice out here what's it like your way?
Yeah i broke just a few bale spears too lol the ones we like are 2 inches thick and they have a hole instead of the ones with a nut and are really long that’s what she said lmao😂anyway get back to bale the spear I find the ones that are two inches thick and they have like a hole in them are way better than the nut style Thanks for the vidja Aaron enjoyed it and that’s one cute little nose licker
Helps that they go away by themselves so they don’t get confused with another calf that calved at the same time
