i mean ---power from the break box to the outdoor unit connects where? power to the indoor to out door unti is OUTDOOR UNIT L1/L2 to indoor unit L1/L2 right? so again where do you connect the outdoor unit to the breaker box.... not a good video that seems to a big piece missing
Finally got it up and running. The only delays we had was because we realized we needed some extra parts (I’ll list that below) th-cam.com/users/postUgkxihMYiJNXcHdbH-7ihymsLz61l7jVyb5O . So we have a loft where our current hvac just couldn’t seem to keep cool during the summer. We have been using a window unit since we bought this house over 6 years ago (all the houses in this neighborhood were built in the 80’s and majority of the houses built like ours use a window unit). I hate window units because they are just so noisy and the one we had really only cools one side of the loft. I had contemplated upgrading our current HVAC, but with all the rising prices these days, it would take years before saving up enough to do that. With the advice of my father-in-law (used to run an HVAC business), he recommended we get an inverter instead. We thought we bought everything we needed, but there were just a few other parts we didn’t anticipate needing (which is what caused most of our delay). My friend and father-in-law did all the work to get it installed and running and now we have nice cool air circulating nicely throughout the entire loft. It is very quiet and even the outside unit is much quieter than our main HVAC unit. Saved ourselves thousands getting this.
Where is the wire that powers up the indoor unit
Where is the F3 and F4 terminals for wired thermostat connection?
What’s the gray wire/ molex connector for? I see it doesn’t get plugged into anything, I’m guessing for a pump if needed?

To bad they do not wire the units to electrical code. The outdoor unit does need 3 knock outs just to meet your requirements. If your going to do a video of an install at least do it right.
You don't need to power the indoor unit?
If you want to separate the shielded wire, don't you think you'll need 3 knock outs?
Why would you use an indoor connector outdoors like that? It's going to rust... Or do you not plan on Samsung units working long after warranty? Like my TV?
yes you need to power the indoor unit from the outdoor unit
@@pandorapuppy3255 then 1 ko for indoor power, 1 ko for indoor communication, you drill you own hole for the line voltage?
@@umadbra late reply lol. But usually you just run a 14/4 wire. The first 2 wires are for 240v power. The second 2 wires are for communication.
@@vincentgrueter7759 not true. 14/2 for Max 15 amp. Unless you only install small units. Never ran romex for communication. Besides you need 14/3 for communication.
@@umadbra ok bro. You have whatever wire size you need running to the condenser because you have a large load like the compressor. Then, you run 14/4 to the fan coil in the order in which I described
How does the service port work on the outdoor unit?
This is the most important section of the film. But no, no information. Very sad the story is this way.
When you open the service port there is a valve in it. You remove it. And then? What is then? What do you connect to this port without valve? How do you vacuum the system via the service port? How do you keep the vacuum when you disconnect the vacuum pump?
Anything else is simple, this should be explained thoroughly.
