Never mind, I will search or investigate myself. May be I was not able to explain my point.
I was not looking for the job roles.
I was looking for the actual work that gets performed like this:
The dev will write the code -> Then they will check in -> then based on some tool, the build will be converted to a Docker image -> then will be passed to so and so... -> then somewhere down the line aws EC2 will come-> then tester will test there -> same docker image will be passed to prod ... like this.
How in real time, most of the projects move forward form development to Production. So that any one form traditional development background can get the full picture of this process and work flow that gets performed in the End to end pipeline. And then as you said, the job roles will make sense, and I will be able to understand, that ok, in this full picture I will come here and do this as a Devops engineer.

i have done btech cse and not that well versed with cloud technology. right now i am doing mca from nit kkr. i am in my 3rd sem and it is 6 sem long. do you think i should go for mtech in cloud? i might get into bits pilani program of cloud mtech. i checked. because i have no background of cloud. but someone recommended the technology to me. plus mostly my relatives are working in consultancy companies or in support roles. so my networks are also not there.

Hi Nasi,
I am a traditional application developer. Never worked in cloud. Currently I am leaning DevOps and related tools. But I have one doubt since day one:
The Application developer, will develop the application and will check in the code in either Git or Svn. And it will get built based on the schedule, let say via Jenkin. And traditionally the test team take the build and test in test machine. and once test pass they will pass the same build in PROD. I understand that Application developer will develop the application in their local. Now,
My doubt: Can you guide(may be high level) the end to end flow of the DevOps role when the developer check in the code, form there onwards to PROD and sequentially what are the tools used and when. When the build image will be created, when AWS will come into picture, when container will be created, when terraform will come into picture and so on. So that I can get a full road map of the application development life cycle steps with help of DevOps.

No actually but depends on the company you work for some companies don’t want you to have 2 jobs at once but I have met people who had multiple jobs so you should check your company policies.
But yeah remote jobs doesn’t necessarily means freelancing
