    I'm actually very picky with my hangers. I refuse to use wire hangers because of the line they leave on the shoulder of my shirts. And all my hangers need to be the same. I like uniformity!

    I didn’t notice the importance of hangers until I lived by myself and was like man I don’t have any hangers. Then I got the cheap plastic ones and that might’ve been the worst decision ever.
    My favorite ones are the wooden ones because they are durable and they last a very long time.

      I’m still living at home, just graduated and college budget.
      I figured investing on things now so when I move out. I have the bare essentials at least.
      Why did you, personally, choose wooden hangers over the velvet hangers?

    Love this video topic because I learnt the hard way when I had to repurchase all new hangers for being cheap with my bulk plastic hangers from IKEA 😂 All my clothes, especially my strappy tops would just fall off. Talk about trigger whenever I’d open my closet and some of my clothes fell off 😤

    • @kickitwithdang
      @kickitwithdang  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The worst lol. That hella triggers me too. Happens to my b-ball jerseys and tanks, so I had to touch on that concept. Thanks for your continued support, you been beasting it on the TH-cam’s recently 💪

    I'd mention broad ends hangers that are an absolute necessity for blazers and suits. I use cedarwood to absorb humidity, keep moths away, and give a nice smell.
    I use the velvet ones you showed for shirts

    • @kickitwithdang
      @kickitwithdang  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      absolutely! i definitely should've mentioned broad end hangers in the vid. I have 2 suits, but both of them are hung on wooden broad hangers as well, although nothing too fancy. but your rationale for the cedarwood is very intriguing. thanks for the comment!

    Oh interesting never though about different hangers....definitely don’t want to go cheap with the 10 cent plastic ones 😂 I have mostly velvet ones. Like the thinness. Got some wood ones for the jackets 👍

    Another pro about the wire hangers: you can use them to unlock your car if you lock your keys in your car! Haha!
    I seriously didn't know that hangers play such an important role. I always buy the plastic hangers cause I like that slippery effect. I always find it so annoying when I need to get a shirt and it doesn't slip right off! Though totally makes sense that my GF has a bunch of velvet hangers cause she has a lot of heavier clothes.

  • @akmclemore

    Wire hangers are the WORST!!!! We never use them and they use a horrible crease! We always use wooden hangers! The are our favorite. In terms of knits, we always fold them. We don't want it to stretch. Velvet is nice though! HAHA.

    I grabbed a pack of velvet from BJs before I went to college and I'm not a fan. I hate putting clothes up after I've washed them and I swear I break them. Also the grip is 50/50 for me because if I need to run out, that shirts not coming off 😂😂😂 but the clothes don't slide. I'll be moving in a year or 2 and I will be investing and doing my research into what's out there, best for my clothes and sustainable.
