I'm actually very picky with my hangers. I refuse to use wire hangers because of the line they leave on the shoulder of my shirts. And all my hangers need to be the same. I like uniformity!
I didn’t notice the importance of hangers until I lived by myself and was like man I don’t have any hangers. Then I got the cheap plastic ones and that might’ve been the worst decision ever. My favorite ones are the wooden ones because they are durable and they last a very long time.
I’m still living at home, just graduated and college budget. I figured investing on things now so when I move out. I have the bare essentials at least. Why did you, personally, choose wooden hangers over the velvet hangers?
Love this video topic because I learnt the hard way when I had to repurchase all new hangers for being cheap with my bulk plastic hangers from IKEA 😂 All my clothes, especially my strappy tops would just fall off. Talk about trigger whenever I’d open my closet and some of my clothes fell off 😤
The worst lol. That hella triggers me too. Happens to my b-ball jerseys and tanks, so I had to touch on that concept. Thanks for your continued support, you been beasting it on the TH-cam’s recently 💪
I'd mention broad ends hangers that are an absolute necessity for blazers and suits. I use cedarwood to absorb humidity, keep moths away, and give a nice smell. I use the velvet ones you showed for shirts
absolutely! i definitely should've mentioned broad end hangers in the vid. I have 2 suits, but both of them are hung on wooden broad hangers as well, although nothing too fancy. but your rationale for the cedarwood is very intriguing. thanks for the comment!
Oh interesting never though about different hangers....definitely don’t want to go cheap with the 10 cent plastic ones 😂 I have mostly velvet ones. Like the thinness. Got some wood ones for the jackets 👍
Another pro about the wire hangers: you can use them to unlock your car if you lock your keys in your car! Haha! I seriously didn't know that hangers play such an important role. I always buy the plastic hangers cause I like that slippery effect. I always find it so annoying when I need to get a shirt and it doesn't slip right off! Though totally makes sense that my GF has a bunch of velvet hangers cause she has a lot of heavier clothes.
My fiancee absolutely hates the hangers with the velvet on them haha! This is a great video, there are a lot of the little things that you just don't think about!
Awesome video idea! I have mostly wire and velvet ones. I don’t know if I’d buy the velvet ones again. I got them at Costco. Reason I don’t like them is because I feel like they stretch out the necks of my shirts. For my best clothing, I use wooden hangers. Thanks for the awesome tips!
I like wire hangers because I used it to pick the lock to my bedroom when my dog locked me in it 😂 I have so many plastic hangers, but I didn’t know different hangers had different benefits!
Lol yeah bro, people can really get crafty with the wire ones, that’s a funny story because I actually thought of mentioning picking locks w/ it but omitted it out the video 😂
I got wooden hangers because they are beautiful and more sturdy. For a 5 pound parka 😂 they are for jackets and hoodies, they need to face the same way, hoodie and the hanger. Except if you have a tight neckline for a hoodie oof lol
Helpful review! I can't believe I came on looking at a review of hangers but I just bought the Amazon basics black Velvet ones and I hate them, I am returning them and going back to plastic. They are a pain to get the clothes on and off I guess I'm one who needs to just pull it off easily!
Yeah something as simple as being able to pull your garment off efficiently can be a world of a difference with saving time and added convenience! Thanks for watching :)
I love the wood ones but yeah. They take up so much space. So I downgraded to some black plastic ones from IKEA which are okay. They do the job. But one day when I have a bigger closet I'll go back to wood.
I love velvet hanger because it doesn't take much space and it's not slippery. I really hate when the clothes fall from the hanger. Wooden hanger also more slippery than the plastic one.
I just watched an 8:24 video on hangers....and loved it haha. Yo man, I have the velvet hangars but they always break on me. I think it's bcause I try to pull the clothes off as if it were a plastic hangar. I used to think the velvet were a nice aesthetic but now seeing the wood hangars - I might have to change it up
There are definitely a lot of different styles I didn’t talk about haha, but as long as it works for you Eriol 👍 thanks for your continued support 🙏 waiting for next Tokyo update hehe
I hate the wire hangers! I like my hangers to look the same but I am also cheap so I just go with the plastic hangers. I do have wooden hangers for my suits though. With my heavier clothes like sweaters and coats, I fold my sweaters and wall of hooks for my coats.
Wire hangers are the WORST!!!! We never use them and they use a horrible crease! We always use wooden hangers! The are our favorite. In terms of knits, we always fold them. We don't want it to stretch. Velvet is nice though! HAHA.
I grabbed a pack of velvet from BJs before I went to college and I'm not a fan. I hate putting clothes up after I've washed them and I swear I break them. Also the grip is 50/50 for me because if I need to run out, that shirts not coming off 😂😂😂 but the clothes don't slide. I'll be moving in a year or 2 and I will be investing and doing my research into what's out there, best for my clothes and sustainable.
I’m with you; not much of a fan either lol. I have the same struggles w/ my velvet ones. That’s why I like the plastic ones, I can just pull my shirts right off if I’m on the go. Good luck and thanks for sharing !
The video I didnt know I needed. I use some heavy duty metal hangers that give the slip of the plastic and durability of the wood but no swivel. no swivel!! aaghjjjj
Tbh the plastic hangers work for me just fine, as long as it has the notch to hold tanks / jerseys / garments with shoulder straps. I use these for my jerseys and tanks, and they’re pretty cheap as well lol amzn.to/3s3loXN

Who would have thought an entire video dedicated to clothing hangers. I actually loved this man!
Didn’t plan for it to be that long but I became passionate with the topic, and it dragged out a bit longer lol . Thanks for your continued support 🙏
i personally love wooden hangers, it gives my closet a expensive vibe, plus it makes my clothes look like when they were in store.
I'm getting some.

Where wood you find broad end wooden hangers. I can’t fold some of my longer woven sweaters and those would be so helpful
I'm gonna ball out and get all wooden hangers cause it looks nice. Thanks for the breakdown Dang, I mostly use the plastic ones.
Oh interesting never though about different hangers....definitely don’t want to go cheap with the 10 cent plastic ones 😂 I have mostly velvet ones. Like the thinness. Got some wood ones for the jackets 👍

This is really informative! And yes, the types of hanger do matter as wire/thin plastic hangers typically will deform the garments a bit.
ShyYong C. Thanks for the comment and for watching !🙏

Great video. 👍 I've heard that certain wood types that are used for hangers have a natural scent that will keep moths away too.
Interesting, did not know that! I can see that being handy in a nice closet where the lighting can attract them haha . Thanks for the comment🙏
Just thought about this

Amazing video and very helpful, thanks! Wooden hangers are definitely my favourite, though the space factor could create some issues
Agreed, wooden hangers look great and probably the least damaging for your clothes . Thanks for watching !
I love the wood ones but yeah. They take up so much space. So I downgraded to some black plastic ones from IKEA which are okay. They do the job. But one day when I have a bigger closet I'll go back to wood.
Waiting to see some of your closet remodel projects :) thanks for stopping by Gee
I prefer the wooden hangers over the others on that list but the con is sometimes the hooks fall out of the wooden part.
I love when you post content! The art of the hanger, who would have known ☁😁 Thanks for this!
Thanks Johnny, You’re too kind ☁️💙
Yes! The clothes being hung backwards does get to me, hahah
Really dug this breakdown, Dang!
I love velvet hanger because it doesn't take much space and it's not slippery. I really hate when the clothes fall from the hanger. Wooden hanger also more slippery than the plastic one.
Agreed!👍
I have a bunch of wooden hangers with larger shoulders (usually for suits or coats), is it fine to use for my sweaters and t shirts ?
Not gonna lie, I knew nothing about hangers until I watched this. Such an interesting vid mate 😎✌
I have all plastic haha.
Time to invest into some wood
I mean, usually the more you spend the higher the quality so we always need to keep that in mind! 💪💪

You a real one bro lol, Didn’t expect it to be that long but I got passionate and invested in the topic 😂 appreciate your continued support 🙏
What do you recommend for regular t-shirts? I noticed the generic ones cause the neck area to stretch.
The one hanger I use seems you don't have it there but they are kind a big and both sides are wide and wider on the ends, wood or plastic
There are definitely a lot of different styles I didn’t talk about haha, but as long as it works for you Eriol 👍 thanks for your continued support 🙏 waiting for next Tokyo update hehe
Sound like coat hangers

So basically if you can afford it, wooden hangers are the best option?
can you create a similar video for tiktok? we want to purchase it.
It's all about surface area. The greater the surface area, the better.
PLastic hangers!! hahaha lots cheaper! easy to break hahahah
Anyone else find that plastic hangers tend to “smell” over time?
