I'm 54 and had an original one of these as a kid. The ramp hinge was the first thing to break. I think I ended up giving it and most of my other star wars stuff to a nephew.
It's interesting how the Falcon is a "freighter" yet has no room for freight. If you go by X-wing Alliance lore - it hauls containers, but they've never really explained it.
There is always things to improve. I remember I used the smugglers compartment as transport room. I was missing some indoor space at the sister ship outrider, they could have done more I think…

Most Kenner toys had their special part that got lost or broken, but at least they were really made for play and not display. Good stuff!
