For example, LBJ shoots 64% from the field, scores 45 pts, 9 rebs, 7 asts, and has a [-2]. Kevin Love has a [+7], shoots 38% from the floor, etc etc. How could you possibly bring up a +/- stat ? Really, I don't even think I can use a player's defense, as justification, especially when somebody plays a lot of minutes. Lebron had 4 turnovers, but FOUR steals, more steals than any other Cav. It seems much more like a team stat. Like somebody else can play poorly while you're on the floor, and then you get the minus. I think you gotta be real careful with that stat. What do you think ?
