The Hidden Meaning behind Stolas's "Just Look My Way" Song in Helluva Boss

At this point we’ve all seen the new helluva boss stolas song, just look my way. The song is extremely emotional but also features some clever hints for the next episode.
So the next episode, season 2 episode 8 is called “the full moon”. This is a reference to season 1 episode 1 where stolas reveals the deal him and blitz have where they have to meet once a month on a full moon.
During look my way stolas mentions this, but there’s also imagery of blitz being in the dark side of the moon, again fitting in with the moon related imagery that is so closely linked to stolas.
At the start of the episode we see stolas receive the asmodean crystal he asked fizz and ozzie for in episode 6. This is a troubling situation because stolas wants to give this to blitz so he can freely teleport and won’t be reliant on stolas’s grimoire. On the flip side it puts the entire full moon arrangement in jeopardy, and stolas is scared blitz might abandon him once he has the crystal.
All of this storytelling is incredible and it’s making me a bit nervous for the next episode, since we’ll see a follow up to this song and perhaps a turning point in their relationship, hopefully for the better.

I personally believe that Blitz will think that Stolas doesn't want to see him anymore and thus gave him the crystal so they wouldn't need to meet again.

As someone who relates to Blitzø, I could easily see this being the case, even if they try to communicate their feelings and issues. I think, though, it will depend on how they word them.

The sad part is the only reason he tells himself that it’s all a lie is cause Stolas is a royal. In blitz’s mind all he is is a object so that stolas can do whatever he wants with. Though I do hope he actually listened to fizz about how nobody would go as far as stolas does just for a cheap lay

I really love the moon symbolism, and how the more the song goes on, the larger the moon gets, meaning the more time thats gone by, bliz has gotten more and more important to him. Turning from a little moon he can hold all he likes, to a giant planet who he begs to look at him. Absolutely beautiful.
THIS. This is the one no one was talking about and I had a basic idea of the concept but THANK you for actually putting words to it. I also LOVE that the moon was the same size as he was when he was speaking about how hurt Blitz is and who he is.

I’m glad that Stolas has come to understand that the transactional nature of their relationship was jeopardising any hope of it progressing.
He knew Blitzø would keep sleeping with him for the grimoire and that it wasn’t a healthy foundation for a relationship. It’ll hopefully also help with Blitzø’s (probably somewhat intentional) misconception about Stolas’ feelings.

Anyone else ever noticed Millie said stolas was blitz bf and blitz never denied it? And fizz even pointed out to blitz stolas loves him, blitzo so far gone due to trauma he push anyone away before it's too late blitz is fragile and he sees everyone around him like a glass or a mirror if they try to go past blitz limits he tends to break that mirror but stolas he held onto for a long time and now he's slightly cracked that mirror but not fully broken it
Blitzø did, for the record, deny it when Millie said Stolas was his boyfriend. But he absolutely feels something for him- Otherwise, why would he be so upset that Stolas (supposedly) "just likes getting rawdogged by a peasant"? (I only remember Blitzø denying it because he specifically said to Striker "its just a transactional fucking")

Here's my theory, we know that after "oops" and "mammon's magnificent" that Blitz has been forgiven by Fizzarolli, with their relationship now turning over a new leaf we already know that Stolas will come into the play not shortly after, presenting the ozmodious crystal to Blitz either two things could happen which is the famous pair separating and going their different ways or them officially becoming a couple, either way that is what the 'full moon' episode is going to be about. Now for 'apology tour', from everything just established I assume that Blitz is going to resolve his current situation going on with Verosika (I severely doubt it would be Barbie as she already expressed her unforgiving dissatisfaction with blitz nor striker because he's glorified bad guy)
Blitz might take it as Stolas no longer wanting him around. That’s my worry.

Honestly, I think it would be best for both of them to go their separate ways, at least for awhile. They both have a ton of work to do on themselves, and the complication of a relationship whose origins were mutually toxic wouldn’t help. Later on down the line, once they’ve both come to terms with some of their issues, I think they’d be great.
That said, I doubt that’s what Vivzie has coming down the pike.
I really hope this is a first step to a healthier more genuine relationship between them where Stolas can finally communicate how he really feels that it isn't just about the physical side but that Stolas has caught genuine feelings and may have had them all along and that he respects and cares for Blitzo enough to not trap him into a relationship like he was with Stella if he doesn't actually feel the same for him. That was their relationship isn't a forced obligation it's "Blitzy take some time to think it over because if you actually like me then I actually like you" Though, I get the feeling there will be more drama than that and the intention of the gift is going to be miscommunicated to Blitzo as Stolas having reflected on Blitzo's ignoring him in the hospital, or being embarrassed by their being called out at Asmodeus's club and rejecting and dismissing him (the oposite of what Stolas wants) I hope I'm wrong about the latter or that at the bare minnimum it gets resolved the same or following episode though cause I really just want our sweet bird to have some happiness outside of Charlie he seems like one of the most morally good people in all of Hell so far all things considered and he deserves good things

Even if Blitz does leave, it’ll probably be temporary. I think back to the convo he had with Fizz while Moxxie’s dad had them in a cage, about “he calls me to ask me how my day was, and comments on my pictures and laughs at my jokes” and Fizz is like…and you think it’s all an elaborate fake-out WHY?? Given how we see Blitz interact with and in reaction to others, he’s CLEARLY hungry for a loving family, but he doesn’t know what that looks like and pushes all genuine connection away. Really hoping to see him grow there. He’s already come some of the way, apologizing to Fizzaroli and saving him from the fire (the second time).

I took this more as Stolas thinking Blitz only associates with him out of necessity. So he wants to give him the crystal and sever ties with him, even if that is the exact opposite of what he really wants. He is putting what he believes is Blitz's wants and needs before his own, even if that pains him greatly.
The way the jewel is in the box is also similar to a traditional ring box so some people are theorizing he'll try and propose with it but I'm doubtful on that giving the status of the ship

Honestly I don’t get emotional over shows. The more I think about the more I’m like wtf why didn’t I feel anything from that. While watching Helluva boss I’m just ~watching~ it, nothing more. I’m viewing it. I have no emotional thoughts during it and I sure as fuck don’t cry. This may be because I know that it’s not real, but I keep telling myself in my thoughts that I care about this ship, and I believe that I do, but every time they are brought together I still have the same blank expression that I had the entire time. It may be a problem, but the only times I’ve cried, they have been for me. Someone pretended to be my friend (little bastard tricked me) I cried. My dad doesn’t care about me (not actually I was just really hateful at the time) I cried. My best friend dumped me ( FUCKING BASTARD) I cried. It’s like I have no sympathy for other people. “Someone got raped by so-and-so” one of my friends said. My response was “oh shit that sounds bad” but I was just saying that. I didn’t feel guilt (idk why I would feel guilt) or pain for this person on the internet for 2 reasons. 1. I didn’t know them. And 2. It didn’t have anything to do with me. Pls get me therapy if you think this is a problem.

I'm scared that Blitzø will take this as a rejection from Stolas but I understand Stolas at this point. He's no longer interested solely in sexual favors, he's genuinely in love with Blitzø and concerned that he seems closed off and never really say what he truly feels. As long as Blitzø feels compelled to sleep with Stolas because of the grimoire, there's no way for Stolas to know if Blitzø's affection is genuine. So I think he does have to take a leap of faith and hope that Blitzø won't misunderstand Stolas giving him the crystal as a rejection. Still I'm stressed out that both of them are gonna end heartbroken somehow.

The biggest gut-punch meaning of Look My Way is Stolas having a personal lament to himself that all he wants is Blitz's real attention and for him to just for once look at him like a person that loves him rather than a rich dick who wants to use him. It hurts too that the imagery used really executes his need for Blitz to just let Stolas in because he very desperately wants to help because he KNOWS something is wrong, and Blitz won't because he thinks Stolas is gonna hurt him 😭😭😭😭

I'm about to get kicked out of the fandom for saying this, but here goes. WARNING: Rant Ahead.
I hope Blitzø leaves Stolas. The only reason Blitzø has ever entertained Stolas is for the grimoire. All Blitzø wants to do is run IMP in peace. He isn't looking for, nor does he want, a relationship. Putting him in a relationship would mean the writers would have to break his character, which I will be very disappointed to see. If we're looking at popular story's track record, this is likely to be done, but I'd like to have faith that this character/story won't be ruined by character breaking via writing. So basically, if we're looking at character integrity, Stolitz was doomed from the beginning. The only way it will work is if the writers break Blitzø's character (which will be extremely disappointing). I hope Blitzø gets the crystal and abandons Stolas to run IMP in peace. Blitzø's happily ever after is being let to run hud business in peace with no other distractions or problems. I really hope he gets that ending.
That's pretty much the story if character integrity is kept/prioritized (either this or an idea I've had that will actually send the fandom after me).

This is a change that needs to happen. Blitzø has made it clear he thinks Stolas is using him and Stolas has yet to really outright correct this. I doubt Blitzø would have even believed him, especially after that night at Ozzie's. It would drastically help to even (but not outright fix) the massive power imbalance in the relationship and probably give Blitzø some sort of piece of mind.
Then again it's Blitzø and this could actually be taken the wrong way entirely by him seeing it as Stolas implying that he's not needed anymore and this is a way to get him out of his feathers. Blitzø will almost definitely always self sabotage as he just can't help himself given his extreme traumas in the past that he's trying to mask for.
I hope that this will be another wake up call for Blitz, and he’ll realize he doesn’t actually want to stop being around Stolas
I think Blitzø is gonna be PISSED, and is gonna completely misunderstand. He's gonna think Stolas is trying to throw him away.
Stolas has realized their arrangement was skewed in his favor which puts strain on their relationship.
In Blitzø's mind, he needs the grimoire to run his business which means he has to put up with Stolas's fetish of being dicked down by an imp peasant. He couldn't just break things off with Stolas because that would jeopardize his business.
In Stolas's mind, the asmodean crystal is meant to even the power imbalance between them. If Blitzø doesn't need to appease Stolas anymore, they can finally talk about what they want out of their relationship as equals.
