Yes! I am tardy to the party, but at least I arrived..... I only started coloring as an adult male 8 months ago and this was totally scary to me back then. So I have had to revisit it. Still blows my socks off, I might add! But with you, all coloring is possible, right? LOL!!!

Hi ya DK I’m following you in ivy bc I keep having issues with this paper for some reason. So with that being said do you mind a couple of questions?
    1. Are you using gentle strokes for every color? I’ve noticed when you apply a 2nd color it’s not over the previous color.
2nd how are you figuring out what colors to use? This is my biggest problem. I’ll sit and stare at a pic forever trying to decide what colors. Never used a color wheel before but I did just purchase one. I’m brain dead to this wheel. Other than opposites. Some say they go buy Grey scale.... yep totally lost there. LOL
3rd picking backgrounds colors..... I saw this one and that is what made me pic this one. People use these color palettes on the internet which does help some but I am not one of those who does that. Also do you do skin tones?

Hi Debra :) You can ask me so many questions as You wish ;) So...
      1. I'm using middle pressure and it really depends on what colors are on my reference photo. If I can achieve color without blending 2 others I just go with 1 color if You know what I mean ;)
      2. I'm always using some reference photos from nature - this is my inspiration ;) For example if I'm coloring trees I'm looking for trees on internet - nothing special really
      3. Background is my favorite part to color because it can change whole picture. Hehe drawing skin it's not my tea to be honest because I'm a 100% landscape painter, but I did portrait of Leonardo and Kate (on my Instagram) But Hanna Karlzon have a lot of faces in her coloring books so one day I'll color one too ;)
      Best Regards :* :*

Ohhh also I have been using Johanna Bashfords coloring books and a few others. I’ve noticed you have to find or better yet, figure out what pencils will work best with each different authors books. And these pencils tend to be very soft. And no matter how light I go it appears that the Ivy books or pages seem more glossy if that makes sense. You are wonderful as far as showing your lightness, for as much as I can see when your hand is extended towards the top. I’m usually pretty light then I go ahead and assume your next move and I end up messing it up. This paper can’t handle the erasing to well. 🤣🤣🤣 I love your work, so beautiful. 😍🙋‍♀️

Oh thank you. I absolutely love nature as well. I as well look at pics on the internet. I follow Henny DeSnoo and she is just wonderful as far as teaching different techniques. I’ve learned so much so far but keep getting confused trying to figure out the whole picture as far as the color themes. Such as backgrounds. I saw this and was extremely excited as I’ve seen natural colored backgrounds but my colors look nothing like yours. 😂😂😂 I just started a couple months ago. I use to make or paint wood for crafting and making dried flower arrangements, painting bird houses then all of that memory went south. 😂😂🤦‍♀️ I love watching people and love looking at their ideas but want my own if that makes sense. This is a masterpiece, I just love it. I did my background really light. Oops but will try and fix. Thank you again! So very talented. 😍😍😍😍
