    The two extension legs you put on the table saw (first 7 seconds) are genius. So are the videos and the things you show. Good work and an inspiration to many.

    Hi Jay!
    I just finished building your router lift with the fence. Wow impressive it works perfectly! I had to adjust the router lift as I was using my old plunge router which I striped off the plunger mechanism. It is now the cleanest tool in my shop, I would not be exaggerating if I said it pulls 99% of dust.
    Thank you I'm a big fan,

    I usually can't stand watching the speedy versions of the builds but yours was great. I watched, enjoyed and learned from it and that's all you can ask for. It must have been just as much work setting up the camera and editing the video as it was building the lift. Thanks so much.

    I've admired your take on a router lift for quite a while and finally got around to building one based on your design. My last router table didn't have a lift, I had to put it on its side each time I had to adjust it. Very happy with this one.

    Hey TH-camrs -- THIS is how to do an instructional video! Almost not talk, and the talk that's here is on the subject of the video -- no useless blabber about irrelevant stuff! I love it! Way to go Jay.

    Seen a million over-thought, complex router lifts that do the job perfectly well i suppose, but so does yours and it's simple AF and the stop block makes it bang on accurate! Nice one!! I shall be ripping you off!

    Awesome Jay. Until today, there was never a router lift design I wanted to spend time making because I simply don't use my router table enough to justify the effort. Your design looks simple enough to build with my modest skill set.

    Great design Jay. So much more simple than others I have seen here on TH-cam. I would imagine the lever could also be tied to some threaded rod to function in a similar manner to other router lifts which would also provide some additional precision.

    Awesome! A design thought...if you made the lever out of wood, then put a small t-nut in the middle of it, you could run a bolt thru that up to the middle stop block/carriage lock, allowing you to make fine adjustments.

    Yet another great video Jay! Can't wait to see this attached to the wing on your table saw. Would like to see it in operation. I was thinking that it would be easy to attach a cable hooked into the table top that could attach to the lever arm with a series of rough positioning levels & then have a screw mechanism on the table top itself for "fine adjustments". Just a thought....Keep up the great work that you do......

  • @ksp1278
    @ksp1278 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I bought the plans for this, and I have to say the detail in your sketchup model is impressive and your plans/instructions are top-notch! Anyhow, I can't build it exactly as you have designed because my router is very different. But I am using it as inspiration in my design. My router is a large plunge router and I plan to mount it to the worksurface by the base plate and use the lift to just push the router up and down. I have removed the springs from the plunge router so they do not add to the resistance when raising it.

    Hi Jay! Your routerlift looks very nice. But I had an idea while watching your video. What about a strong enough spring that pulls or maybe pushes the router with its slide against the backslide. So it wont be that lose if you unscrew the locknut for hight adjustment. With no play between the router slide and the casing around you can let the locknut open for doing some precise, repeatable drill or plungeholes. That's just an idea. Nice work, very good videos. Go on and best regards from germany!

    I like how you showed the "cut list". Do you use sketch up to make/print your cut list, if so, how? I'm still learning sketch up and getting better, mainly due to your videos. It's nice to be able to go back to review the little details I forget in-between working with the program. Thanks again for doing those
