Richard whiteley had such a great sense of humour very much missed 1943-2005 he was a legend such a nice man I will always remember him and his laugh which I loved and still love now it's now 15 years since he died and I still look back with fondness of his 23 years as host of countdown he was so well known and loved by all we was the chairman of countdown he was mr countdown we miss him so much we miss you terribly Richard whiteley what a fantastic man you were and very much loved and much respected we love you Richard whiteley and remember you fondly tho I never got to meet you I felt I knew you we all felt like we knew you and we all remember him with great affection do you all agree xx

I met Richard on calender YTV Nativity Christmas Reunion show programme in 1985 he interviewed us all and we all had a drink with him in the green room at YTV STUDIOS got the YTV vid and will one day put the show we where all on on TH-cam, Richard was a lovely man so polite and it was sad to here of his death RIP Richard
