    FURTHER INFORMATION
Era is a 52′ tug-style narrowboat built in 1999 by John White Boats Builders.
Entering from the stern into the boatman’s cabin complete with a prestige log burner stove and ample storage. Following this, you enter the engine room. Propulsion is provided by a 1953 Kelvin J3 33hp, 3 cylinder diesel engine with matching period Kelvin gearbox with 1: 1 reduction, turning the propeller. The engine powers a 12/24v dynamo to charge the 2 starter batteries and the 2 leisure batteries onboard. There are two large side hatches also in the engine room. Onwards into the shower room featuring a full stand-up shower, cassette toilet and vanity basin. Forward into the galley fitted with Thetford triple x oven and 4 burner hob, shoreline fridge freezer and a 240v microwave. In the saloon, there are two lounge chairs and a second stove fitted. The space between the cabin and saloon currently houses a single berth complete with a fold-out mattress. Finally, there is a large under bow storage space as pictured above.
