They REALLY need to bring back the level builder. It was such a good time to use, but so stupidly limited. Why did they make it be multiple separate builders instead of just one big one that you can use all the characters and parts in? Why can't I use Custom Characters in the stages by default? It was supposed to be in LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, alongside 1 v 1 competitive multiplayer with the RTS elements, but both aspects were cut, sadly.
Honestly this was my favorite video game as a kid. They took crazy liberties with the story which made it novel (I loved how the DS game was technically a sequel, even if obviously non-canon). Plus the level builder was amazing and literally could be used to make a new story campaign.
@@ryz5804 I am aware. There was nothing in Raiders that asserted anything about his ability to fly a plane though, other than it being implied that he probably wasn't super confident with it due to the fact that Jock flew him to and from Peru.
A lot of people seem to prefer the first Lego Indiana Jones over the sequel but to me they improved over the original in just about every way. It's one of my favorite Lego games of all time.

Honestly, I prefer LEGO Indiana Jones 2, and a lot of the reasons why were glossed over here. There's a solid implementation of object puzzles ala classic adventure games, the more focused, sandbox-y levels meant that stages could have more elaborate sequences that rely more on engaging core gameplay than just throwing an Uncharted-style "RUN AWAY!" sequence, and the you can't honestly tell me that the vehicles handle worse than LEGO Star Wars 2/The Complete Saga. A car actually functions like a car here - you're not sailing along in the world's drunkest X-Wing or Snow Speeder here.
"For example, this mission does have a bike, but you can only ride it for about ten feet before you run into some puzzles you have to solve on foot" had no footage.
These games sure were something. I had both but quite honestly? I preferred the hand-held version. Maybe it just felt more traditional to me, but I remember far more of it than the console/flagship version.
I remember enjoying this game fine enough as a kid, but I always preferred the first game. Going over the repetitious mission structure and overall smaller levels helped explain why.
I'm loving these Lego comparisons. My favorite of the Lego bunch of Marvel Super Heroes. Got the plat on Vita and then went back to the PS4 version and didn't get the plat there but it was also a lot more content and open-world.
Would I be haranged if I said the handheld version was much better than the console version? It feels less of a bloated mess since it only adapts KotCS and doesn't repeat the stories of the '80s films. Plus, the bosses aren't giant monsters with overcomplicated strategies and the level design isn't confusing.
The different style of this game took some getting used to, but all in all I like it a lot. The level builder was awesome. I would be in Lego game heaven if they made a Star Wars version of this.
I remember a weird glitch to where i was making something with bricks then it just clipped off into the sky, never to be seen again. (on original wii version)

And I would like to see you do more videos covering more LEGO games, like the LEGO Batman trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel's Avengers, The LEGO Movie Videogame and LEGO Jurassic World! Looks like every movie / level in this game follows a very strict formula, feels like it's hard to judge from a glance if it gets repetitive or if you'll like it if you like the giant bosses and vehicles... does each race / boss fight at least feel challenging in it's own ways, or is it just carbon copy of each other?
I've only played the XBOX 360 version. I loved the hubs and especially the level creator (I also wish it had carried over into other games)!
