    After 12 years of usage, my 14SFG is still a great EDC workhorse. Had to tighten the clip screws and oil a few times but no major issues

    I bought the same one while in Iraq at the PX on Al Asad in 2005. That thing can take a beating. I recently had CRKT, free of charge, send me replacement screw and innards as the screw had broken while retightening. Sentimental for sure.

    i have had mine since 2008 or 2009. i got it mostly for its ability to "wave" out the pocket and open for self defense situations. at the time of purchase i read people were saying the lock fails or breaks, or its hard to close the knife, i have not had a single issue with mine.
    about two years i retired it to move into a slightly smaller otf for packages and mail and a larger cold steel for self defense.
    anyways, i have three crkt knifes and love them and as long as they dont get stolen they will likely last for the rest of my life

    I just lost my M16-13SF over the 2023 New Years week, while working to fix up my Grandmother's farm.
    I carried that knife daily for almost all of my nearly 21 year military career, and it still worked great. So sad that I dont have it now, and I keep finding myself reaching for it constantly to do some task.

    Very thorough review indeed my friend. Just today I received my CRKT m16zsf.
    Do you have or does anyone have any info on a suitable sheath for Bill Carrey of these awesome knives?
    Thanks for a great review, glad to see that they last that long😁

    • @Muddyfox47
      @Muddyfox47  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks!
      for a sheath, you might need to see if you can find someone that can make you one out of kydex. Try some holster manufacturers around you - thats what I did and the guy made me a knife sheath for it.

    I own and carry all the CRKT M16 series, especially the 14SFG (Tanto blade) for self-defense purposes when I'm unable to carry any of my pistols. They take a beating and keep on going! I am a retired Marine Corps Veteran, and carried these during my active duty service. The fact that once the blade is deployed, it literally turns into a fix blade with outstanding finger guard protection and the added security of the safe lock mechanism. Highly recommend 👌

    IMO this is a near perfect EDC for people who use it alot. Ive had mine 6 years used near daily. I found chainsaw files perfect to sharpen the serrations. My solution to the gimping on hilt was move picket clip back and it makes it pocket catch open.

    I've had my M16-14?? since 2013. Still works perfectly. Only downside is that it can deploy on its own in my pocket which is why I don't carry it lately. The automatic safety does not slow down how fast you deploy. Amazing design.

      i have the crkt m16-13dsfg in addition to a few other models, but the baby m16-13dsfg looks much meaner despite it being smaller.
      i got to where i could wave open my bigger m21-14sfg, and other variants, in a way where i could cup most of the black knife blade in my hand. hiding its size and open it, use it and put it away in front of random people before they even noticed i had a knife out. if anything the speed i could do this might raise an eye every once in a while, but this would usually lead to a conversation about knifes rather than invoke fear, as only a knife user would even realize what i had just done so quickly almost all in one motion
