Okay I've only watched 14 minutes of this video and I'm so impressed on how much self aware they both are and it transcends into their relationship. Know yourself, then COMMUNICATE honestly (talking and LISTENING) to understand your partner and vice versa. 👌
idk if it’s the gender issue but the part where Jake needs to cool off, your needed to talk it right away after some heated moments is very relatable and i’ve seen few couples who would react that way tooo.

I had my first (and only) child at 28. It was worth the wait but it’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever done. ❤️ I like that Jake is willing to wait until you are truly ready. Some men won’t. Some women won’t. It’s such a life long commitment and forcing that on someone is terrible. You two are adorable but are just starting out in your relationship adventure. Take your time. Enjoy the excitement. We are rooting for you!
This year I will be married for 16 years, I am from Brazil, he is English and I moved to England to be with him. So, different cultures, different language bla bla but if I could give anyone an advice on how to have a long lasting relationship is, remove EXPECTATIONS!! don’t expect nothing! From flowers and gifts to public displays of affection, just go with the flow , don’t try and project what you would be as man 😅 in your man. Remove the ego, don’t try to be right all the time (even if you think you are) heheheh a healthy relationship shouldn’t be a battle , it shouldn’t be we trying to prove to one another how special we are, how amazing we are bla bla after 16 years together I fully accept my husband the way he is, all the flaws, all the lows, all the greatness, all the highs and we never went to bed on a argument, we never saw each other in toilet 😅😅 (just something I still think we should keep private) hahahh we might not have the lovey dove relationship of a young couple, and go on dates , candles light bla bla but we have what I think is the most important thing, respect for each other. We truly respect each other as individuals, as unique humans and give each other space to be our true selfs. We decided not to celebrate dates (it works for us) 🤷🏻♀️ so we removed that expectation of the feeling of obligation that we must do something, we need to do something to each other . Absolutely 0 expectations from both sides regard anything. We are best friends and of course we will disagree and have arguments, and accepting that we are both imperfect helps. TALK AND TALK about everything ans anything, don’t have tabus. I think most relationships don’t last long nowadays due to the pursue of perfection, and everything needs to be so perfect, date nights, candle nights , bla bla my favourite date is being on the sofa watching th knowing I have my best friend by my side and a soulmate who knows all my bad sides and still loves me completely ❤️ we also have 2 kids that add to the whole thing hehehh so I wish for both of us maturity and calm to understand each other, love each other and accept each other exactly the way you both are. Changing and evolution are natural and everyone grows and change and it will happen naturally so don’t try and rush the process, enjoying each moment as it comes ❤️ lots of love 💕

How healthy and mature can a relationship be when you can talk about all your past experience (especially sex with someone else) with your partner. I hope you stay like this forever ❤️😌
It's sooo important to continue "dating" throughout your relationship. You have to prioritize each other every so often so it is shown that that care is still there. Love languages is a HUGE deal to recognize both in yourself and your partner. When my ex and I were struggling with our relationship, I looked for and found a study that I actually think is so great when you are missing the spark or feeling like you aren't getting the attention you want in awhile: The study said to have sex every single day for a whole month. No excuses, no matter if you were on opposite schedules or didn't feel like it, just to make time for it. I bought kitten and puppy stickers for a calendar to mark it LOL. When people came over and asked what it is, my ex didn't know how to answer it :P But we definitely felt more connected after even a few days up until we stopped, and it really was surprising how endorphines and that closeness impacted us just in general.

I have always trained dogs because I viewed kids that weren't mine as a pain LOL. I have friends (most who live across the world) whose kids I absolutely adore, and as I've gotten older, I've come around more, though I still have things I want to do in life too, and my goal is to move to the Netherlands so dating here seems dumb xD so who knows.
Jealousy is a lot about open communication and working with each other. Tracking and not having locks on your phones etc is too far imo. Having friends of the same and opposite sex is normal and SHOULD exist. Lack of trust is a huge issue and forbidding someone from doing it is really off base.
I didn't get to speak more about the dog search, but that will be a nice intermediate before kids ;) but I'd love to assist if you're wanting/need.

I learnt that in my past relationship. In arguments, you need to remember that’s your bestfriend and even though they may have different views, you don’t want to fall out with them. In a relationship it’s important to make those extra steps to keep the romance alive and make them feel special❤️❤️

I am 29 and have been in a relationship for 14 yrs (married for 9). Other than our life routines (work & meals). Everything always feels new to me. I am not the same person I was when I was 15, 20, 25, or 28. I have changed yr after yr, and so has my husband. We might do something today that we haven't done in 1, 2, 3 yrs or months, so it just feels new to us. It all depends on your mindset. Just because someone changes doesn't mean it's not the person you fell in love with. Your sig other is allowed to grow. Unless they change violently and become abusive. I have felt "bored" only because I watched some drama or some unrealistic social media relationship and have developed unrealistic expectations. You have to create your scenes and your own beautiful life. Nothing wrong with fairytale scenarios. Don't expect it to come out of nowhere. That is not how real life works. Your sig other normally will never know what you want. Don't be that person who gets mad because your person couldn't read your mind. It is ok to talk about your feelings and thoughts.

A suggestion for a future "sit down with Jake" 📝💚 I would be so interested in hearing more about Korean culture in general and how it is growing up and living there for young Koreans now. You hear stuff about the rigid beauty standards in Korea (the kpop industry in general), conservative gender roles, etc, but it would be cool to hear from someone who's actually from south korea. Topics you could discuss could be generally how it is growing up there, views on love, sex, labels, self-image and the beauty industry, work, expectations - just mundane stuff we all deal with❣️

Ahhh I really liked your conversation and it resonated a lot with me! One thing from Jake, where he was speaking of different versions of Sissel (girlfriend, best friend, sister (haha), etc.) because I feel that a lot with my partner. The other thing was the realistic way of your perception of relationships, keeping in mind that both in a relationship are growing but sometimes in different paces or directions. And that could be sad, or unfortunate but most of the time it‘s kind of okay because that’s life. I think the same way and got a lot of judgment (most of the time I didn’t really cared) for it just because I keep „room for growing and outgrowing“ in mind if it tends to happen. It’s weird for me see couples which hold each other for the sake of „being in a relationship“ rather than breaking up, looking forward and setting themselves free of something what isn’t healthy anymore.
