I think this is one of the best songs of the 60s. It is so hook laden you really cannot believe it. I don't even know who wrote it. and he is doing a great job and the band is really tight.
@@danwhite4294 He was bassist Vocalist and songwriter for 10CC, he also wrote For Yor Love performed by Yardbirds, Bus Stop performed by The Hollies amongst others..
It was the arrangement that made this a classic song. The arrangement was done by John Paul Jones later of Led Zeppelin. In the sixties he was a session musician and arranger contributing to countless hits. He was actually a big fan of the Hermits.
@@mark-wh2qc hard to believe those gold nuggets came from one brain. there's an acoustic performance by 10cc [perhaps not all original members] on YT that is nothing less than astonishing.
I grew up in the 50s and 60s listening to bands like this just great music those day's.
An absolute underrated masterpiece: vocals, composition, orchestration, and Peter's genius and joy :-)
total English humor
ROCK and ROLL HALL of FAME CANDIDATE FOR SURE 😃😊 2023. God Bless Mr Peter Noone.
When I was 7, he was my idol. I got to see the Hermits live a couple of times. Great stuff. He’s still the shizzle fo rizzle. Yeah, I said it.
the sad part is we were all forced to read it
Bingo! He was my idol too. The Hermits were top of the line.
This was never underrated, but a world success and an all time evergreen...
Absolutely wonderful adorable times and music, fashion ,laughter, superb, our beautiful people of the UK
he is so adorable :)
I saw him 4 months ago and he was 73 sounds just as good as he did when he was in his teens
Gorgeous, carries himself well and can still keep pitch💕
So nice song and funny story 😅😅😅😄😆☺️ I love it so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I loved him! He's even better now.
Lovely gig indeed. That's simply Pete as he was in 1966...
Me Encanta me Fascina me enloquece Éste Peter Noone, gracias por el video ❤
Outstanding!
He's really superbly naturally funny, real skill class talent,
Just to clear things up this show was in approximately 2012 or 13. Peter was born in 1947 , so he was 64 or 65 at this filming…
It says June 25th 2009
If Peter's mum was born in 1926 and she was 83 as he spoke, this recording must have been made in 1909.
You mean 2009, but yeah it couldn't be 2012 or 2013.
Great performance
In the 100 top pop songs od all time.

A guy named Graham Gouldman wrote it. I don't know if he was ever part of the Hermits or maybe 10cc. He tells the story in a video on youtube.
