I really feel if you are into collecting trains or a big Amtrak Fan, this is THE Locomotive of the year! I’m not sure what it is, but looking over this engine, it’s just so beautiful. I want to get some type of display that shows off everything, but keeps the dust off!
Very slick loco! Rapido does great with details. Their motors seem prone to failure. I have two Rapido locos, both have been returned for warranty work, dead motors. They replaced the motors, no charge. Hope you have good luck with yours. Take care - Bill.

The microphone on my new phone is very sensitive and it changes when you zoom. It seems to be more sensitive when you zoom in and you get a volume change. I need to video with my camera farther away from the noise source. I think the microphone gets over loaded when it’s too close.

Was that Lisa Simpson on Function 21??? Lol! What a fun Easter egg! And what a gorgeous engine! Wow! I've heard so many good things about Rapido but have yet to own anything of theirs myself... I definitely need to sample something from their N scale line. Everything about that locomotive is so meticulously put together, though. Really, really impressive. And all of the presentation with the box and the pins and everything that goes along with it... wow! Thanks for sharing!
wow that is definitely a really nice piece! I can't wait till I get my first DCC unit, I'm eyeballing a mint Bowser unit right now that I'm really tempted to pick up even though I don't even have a DCC controller yet, they are crazy expensive themselves!
DCC/Sound is pricey! Sometime you can get good deals at train shows. I’m a big fan of Bowser stuff. I use NCE controllers and yes those are pricey to. I still love running DC stuff!
Mine just arrived, too, but I've not had a chance to setup a test track (moving, so no functional layout at the moment), so it's nice to see the quality of her. Question: what are the add-on parts in the pouch? Cut-levers?
I checked the bag, and in it is three parts. One is a stirrup step for the nose on the engineer side where there are grab irons. I’m not really sure what the other two parts are. On the parts diagram it shows them near the cab. There is a left and right. I’m guessing they are wind deflector‘s or mirrors?
Man that's a beauty , this model make Scale Trains look like Life Like . I can't believe all the cool stuff you got with it . I just checked around, and the prices aren't bad . I wonder how limited these are , does it say anywhere ?
I hope I remember this correctly. They were only going to make 500, but they sold out quickly. Many people missed out including Amtrak management, so they opened pre orders for much longer and depending on how many pre orders were made would then decide how many would be produce. I don’t know how many they ended up making.
Just got mine today. I'm having a hard time deciding if I should take it out of the box. I've got a lot of other EMD Es and Fs to run. I'm thinking future collector value. Should I? Shouldn't I? Did everyone that wanted one of these get one? I think I will watch your vid a couple hundred times and then decide 😁
I think it would be cool to build a display for the box, pins and locomotive. Something that would keep the dust off, but would be easily accessible so the locomotive could be run whenever I wish. Another option is to buy two!😃
Fancy packaging. I don't know if you saw the video where I announced it, but I am not going to the Batavia show, I spent all my money on gas going to PA and won't have more saved until next year.

I absolutely love mine. Going to stay in my display case for most of its life, but still one awesome engine and great presentation by Rapido.

That is one of the coolest HO scale locos I have ever seen!!!
It’s so impressive! I currently only have a 12’ test track, but I just love watching this locomotive go back and forth!

Day one paint is cool on anything, funny it has songs on it, the inside cab detail is cool, and yes the packaging was great.
I’m constantly impressed with Rapido. I don’t remember if you ever saw my video on Rapido’s Dinning car that has plates and silverware on the tables?

Did it have one? I’ve looked at a bunch of photos, but I don’t see any beacon. I haven’t seen any roof shots though.
