@db-ik1cw. I wouldn't use this to clean/polish wood. For wooden surface cleaner use mix together the following: #1/2 cup White Cleaning Vinegar #1/4 cup Olive Oil or Jojoba oil #1 tablespoon Vegetable Glycerine # 1 tablespoon Castile Soap # 20-30 drops of essential oil blend. The addition of the Olive Oil (traditionally mineral oil was used but this is not a natural product but petroleum) should help protect your wood from potential damage, as the recipe in this video is a pure water based product, the essential oils will float and can damage your wood surfaces. After using cleaner, I would recommend using a simple wood polish. Polish recipe 1: # 60g 100% pure Beeswax (Has a very long shelf life of roughly 20+ years) # 120ml Jojoba Oil, Flaxseed/Linseed Oil or Olive Oil, (if wanting a long shelf life product, use Jojoba as it also has a 20+year shelf life) This is a basic polish that won't go rancid and will last years. If you decide to add essential oil (2ml essential oil total), note that the shelf life of the essential oil with the shortest shelf will determine the overall product shelf life. Melt beeswax in a bain-marie on gentle heat until liquid, add in your chosen oil. This may solidify a little, so allow to melt again to liquid. Take off heat and if using, add in essential oils and pour into salve tins or sterlized jars. Allow to fully cool and harden. To use, add a little onto microfibre cloth and polish away. For food grade polish (chopping boards, utensils, etc), use Olive oil. Polish 2 (alternative recipe, same method as above:) # 30g 100% pure Beeswax # 30g 100% pure Carnauba wax # 60mls Food grade Flaxseed oil # 60mls Raw Coconut Oil # (if using), 20-30 drops of essential oil blend.
