Good for you for calling a spade a spade. Lots of value in PVC ropes. You can get a great speed rope for about $25. I had a crossrope early on and eventually went back to pvc.

I like leather jump ropes so I can jump on pavement. I want to try use a battle rope to jump with. That might be really good for the shoulders. I was looking at this and was like HOLY &*%! at the price. Personally, like you said, I can't justify spending $150 to $250 on a jump rope. Cool review because I was wondering about how good these are for that price. Thanks man .👊

I got this and the PVC one from EliteSRS. Personally I like the PVC more because of the flexibility and the long handle. Mostly I use their 6 mm rope. Still Crossrope is a very good rope especially for workout. If you buy the Crossrope I suggest you to consider to buy the Power Handle (the big handle) also, since the Get Lean handle is too small for the 1/2 LB rope.

@@csquaredboxingYou might want to check Hererope. It is quite good as an CR alternative with half the price.

I got these during the summer of 2021 and they are good I've Never been so tired with the 1/2 pound my arms were dead! but I agree its very expensive, I just got my rush athletics money rope which is considered more of a boxing/speed rope which I think is better

    Just my 2 cents:
When you do DU, you might land and step on the rope a couple times. Over time it might pull the rope from the head that clipped to the handle. The black head (made from plastic) will prevent it from dislodged, but over time when you step on in, it will loose and dislodged.
    Solution:
I bought the PVC rope (7mm) and attach to the Crossrope's handle. Hands down for me it is the best rope handle out there.

I personally don't think it's overpriced, simply because there isn't a better jump rope on the market of comparable quality which is also cheaper.
I've used plenty of $10-40 jump ropes and they're absolutely trash. Or you can get a cross rope for $80 and have a quality weighted rope.
Otherwise I can't really see where you could get a jump rope of the same quality for any comparable price.

The jump rope is only as good as the person using it. Not the other way around. There's plenty of footage of boxers jumping rope perfectly using $3 jump ropes.

@@somethingsomethinggr oh, the point I was making is that you're laughing at the idea of different jump ropes having different quality levels, but perfectly understanding that different boxing gloves have tiny differences that make them better or worse for different things.
As someone who has used many jump ropes, the cross rope is easily the best I've ever used, and it's not even close. And I do train at a professional boxing gym (I'm obviously not a pro lol) so I do have the opportunity to see that no, the pro's jump ropes get tangled too if they use a cheap one! Mine never does.

@@mr.doctorcaptain1124 I myself have used many jump ropes but still find myself going back to the cheaper ones unless I'm going for a double under PB. I can jump rope for over 40 minutes unbroken including multiple crossovers, side swings, double unders and double under crossovers with good form using a cheap jump rope and my rope never tangles. You really don't need to use an expensive jump rope but I can agree it can make it easier. The problem for me is that swivel ropes remove a lot of the resistance between the rope and the handles which is great if you want to do large amounts of double unders but for a boxing workout I find it makes it too easy to the point of having to work out much much longer just to get to that same level of fatigue.
