Thanks. This video helped me a lot. Especially dodging into his charge attack and in the last phase after that charge attack to rush back, since hé then follows it up with the three spin attack. Took me many attempts, but after watching your video, merely a few more attempts. Thanks!!!

What weapon did you use? I try using Kusarigama because of it's reach but it barely does 500 damage after max familiarity.
Nice job. This looks like one of those tedious tank bosses which tests patience more than skill.
Not really. Depends on the weapon, but I shredded his ki with the Tonfa. The fight didn't last long. This is definitely the slowest way to fight him, and it doesn't take advantage of all the cool stuff you can do in Nioh.
@@granthamlin8126 that’s sort of the whole point of these videos by guru though. They are meant to be ways anyone could do.
@@edwardherbert I get that, but I'd argue just playing the game like you normally would makes this fight easier.
It's not a tedious fight at all, like the first commenter said. This just draws it out for too long and gives more chances to die.

Cool, just watched it after I defeated him. So far the bosses in Nioh 2 have been rather easy, but this one was one of the harder ones, took me like 6 to 8 tries. He only has one dangerous move, the Grab! That basically one-shot me every time it got me with less then full health. Start up is super fast and when getting back to range after punishing him is very hard to evade.

i don't think his arm is missing...it's some weird ninja thing to tuck in your arm into your outfit. auron from FFX did that, too.

Just fought Underworld Depths Magara Naotaka and he got a new move which is a jab then a kick, still quite easy to dodge but the dual blade dance and ground press no longer burstable but however the grab became burstable plus the third strike of his triple swing will guarantee to kill. Nonetheless fighting Magara is always epic
The Odachi can take him with Moonlit Snow: Redux btw, but that's a long way for newbie players

Yeah. (Hello from 10 months in the future) I like pretty much EVERY other boss in this game. But this guy, this guy makes my blood boil

I swear the best thing about this game is the soundtrack and visuals. A real stunningly awesome game to enjoy if you can get past the challenge of the fights.
i like how they made it so you automatically get your grave back when you enter any boss room, unlike in the first game where you had to actually pick it up and if it were in a bad spot, the boss might have killed you or dealt massive damage to you while you were trying to get it

After 160+ elixirs and two days I am still on this boss fight. I am about to give it up and uninstall the game. I should sue Team Ninja for the mental damage this game has caused. Not to mention the rage my family had to witness.
Edit: I took a few days of break from the game. Came back and eventually beat him for the 3rd try. I still hate him lol

Hey man dont feel bad, Lady Butterfly from Sekiro was the same way for me for some reason. She just KEPT BEATING MY ASS. For literally 18 hours straight she owned me. Next day I beat her my first try
His horizontal slash is a monster! I always dodge right and get caught in it, i need to practice dodging left 🤣🤣

Worst enemy in the game for me. Not from a difficulty standpoint but the fight boring as hell. He has too much health
He is actually fun to me. As a level 1, some bosses really do have too much health. This one just expects you to stick closer to him and punish him much more. I took him down in 3 minutes so considering he can't be that bad xP

Guide for hatchets:
Step one: use high stance hatchet throw
Step two: profit
I had no idea you could throw the hatchets wtf. Thanks to you I might beat this boss, no thanks to the guru because he always fights bosses when his character is already OP'd LOL.
Edit: So after finding out I can throw the hatchets thanks to you, I actually managed to beat this boss lol. I had a set of powerful hatchets and boom! THANKS DUDE! 😁

Every time I start winning he does his bullshit 1 shot grab and if I try dodge it it just hits anyway even if I am way out of range.
This guy is a cake walk with a ninja build...stay your distance and use fire shuriken and kunai to weaken him and go in for the kill when his health is low

Is it just me this guy is like two times harder during the sub mission. I beat him with no help the second try but stuck in the sub mission ....
If a Tyrannicon boss video is more than 3 minutes long and includes more than 3 moves to win (all cheesing), it means the boss is a real asshole to fight.
Is it just me or are the health/stamina mechanics making even the weakest of enemies a slog to kill, or is it the way they programmed the stat increases for damage?
I don't want to say it's just you, because I'm sure a lot of others feel the same way, but there is a lot you can do to tear through enemies pretty quickly.
It's all about using every tool the game gives you.

Just a damage sponge to drag out the fight so you'll eventually slip up and be oneshotted. Undrrworld more of the same. Shame they were so lazy on this one.
Or you could just use an axe and spam heaven and earth with brute counters...his ki goes away in an instant.

I used Axe. Every attack except his jumping attack takes only ~20% of stamina away. At least for me. One of the easier bosses.

What is the damage output on your odachi? I can't even get this boss to Half Life.

Only boss I had trouble with is shibata and final boss.
At the beginning it was tuff. As my character grew stronger and I had more abilities it became super easy. It's a great game.
I'm so bored all the combats are eeeeeextra sloooooow, all the boss have ranged attacks and the hitboxes are stupid to make you lose stamina when its unnecessary. The game is gorgerous but all the final battles are look the boss attack 4 times, you running like a rat to do 1 hit, is this fun for you? Like all Yokai and their ki who ruins the game the same with dark realm. I don't understand how bad works team Ninja to do a copy and do it worst and more important why waste time again and again when they know how to do it all fast
