Exo my bro, you're the best. Thanks for the review on this ridgerunner. I was one of the guys who asked about it! I used liquid gravity and filled the steering links front and rear glued it, and they are significantly stronger! Cheap mod for a cheap rig 😉
It's capable I have put weighted wheels with softer tires, changed the servos and more direct steering. I was thinking going full droop with 80w oil like my Ridgerock, but haven't yet...
Im glad i got one only thing is it gets , esc fan helped it . 25k servo's helps along with steering links i brought from ebay a guy 3D printers are amazing 🎉
Looks like to me that you need to get the dual motor esc to completely stop the clod stall so you have exact power to both motors and should run better than having to deal with the clod stall
Both motors are getting the same exact power as they are wired together in parallel. I do have other plans for this that will have more than just duel esc’s. The way to reduce the clod stall is you can actually set curves so on climbs the rear get more power than the front to reduce it. It works but with the new tech we have I want to try to fit a set of 360 revolvers in there.
For my ridgerunner I got a set of brass wheel locks 15mm offset and a set of injora extra heavy beed lock rims, with jconcept ruptures green compound. Now I have to figure out something for the steering linkage. ANY and ALL help with this would be greatly appreciated.
once you add a second esc you will see a big improvement i think i build a lot of construction rcs and in general most will tell you one esc and two motors don't jive
so far, even with the mods, it still looks like a trail truck. the ridgerock might be better suited for more rock crawling while this more trail with rocks/roots in way. but having both 4ws and dig doesn't make sense. Would still like more info about how you setup the esc/rx/tx to do 4ws
I know this truck is awesome for the money , but that body shell is fugly. Otherwise an impressive, and definitely upgradable rig! Your test course is tops!👍🏻😎
@DEENRC cause the dude actually has REAL vehicles as hobby as well, he doesn't know anything? Kinda a silly comment when you think about it. Don't offend the grown men who play with cheap China made toys! 😂😂

Well it works but not the best for an MOA. You can put the motors in series and it would be really slow LoL.
For the price this little truck seems hard to beat. Still hoping to see the new FMS Blazer get the Exo treatment.
On your ridge Rock build you did with the dual 1080 ESC's, did you still experience clod stall with that setup?

This has a better gear ratio for crawling than the straight axle version. About 50-1 on this and about 40-1 on the straight.

Yeah it’s not pretty at all but they couldn’t do a licensed body and keep prices down. Plus we have a ton of options available to make it ours.

It looks like a headache to me lol. Great video though..
Too small a wheelbase for 4ws in my opinion lol.
So moral of the story is: buy a cheap RC truck for $169 and then spend at least $150 more or so making it not as cheap and suck? 😂
Yzzr is the absolute worst insert , do not buy these inserts folks .
Mine have been doing awesome. Beat the tar out of them. No regrets here
I have two sets. Highly satisfied.
Stick with your bikes.. this hobby is not for you..
