@ScienceIsDope : I liked this one Pranav. Well I think what Chavda meant by 95% is basically about Dark matter, and he turned it into a wishful thinking where he said he hoped its good energy, or God.
Thing is people might think Dark Matter or Dark energy is negative energy or something bad. While in reality it is the matter which we expect to be out there which accounts for the gravitational attraction and rotation of planets and stars but yet we are not able to see that matter or interact with it. There is nothing positive or negative about energy. This is just stupidity to belive energy is positive or negative. People who are deep into spiritualism might hold these views.
Here Dark = Unseen + Uninteracted.
Keep up the great work. We need the merch now. Definitely buying something for sure.

I would say to the youth that they should be proud of their own achievements instead of their ancestorswhose actions or achievements have little to no evidence. This ideology of feeling pride for other's achievements is the core cause that 80% of youth are now unhireable by top companies. The youth is busy feeling pride for fake things which nobody can prove or disprove. Its a time waste and dumbing down of the youth that the elites have created using social media.

@@T3Rmin4LCuRi0siTy You are absolutely right. What's worse is that even when studying past accomplishments, we often just chalk up the credit to the community or nation. This is not evil on its own, but often we do this while ignoring hte individual contributor. For example, all Indians know that numerical zero was first conceived in India, but how many can name the individual scholar who made the discovery?

      @Breaker_69 ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@theunbeatable728 While personal achievements are a significant source of pride, there's another dimension to consider. People often take pride in their cultural heritage or their ancestors' contributions to society. This pride is more about acknowledging and appreciating one's roots, history, and the collective progress made by their community. It doesn't necessarily replace personal accomplishments but adds another layer of emotional connection and identity. Just like we can feel proud of a friend's success, even if we didn't directly achieve it ourselves, this broader pride is about celebrating the accomplishments of a larger group that we're part of. It's a way to value both personal achievements and our connection to a wider community.

Now, let's move on to the main issue. The burden of proof lies on the individual making the claim. Given that these claims have been made by Abhijit Chavda, it's his responsibility to substantiate them. There are numerous basic flaws in Abhijit Chavda's narrative, which could be exposed with proper cross-questioning by any rational mind. It's like you're running alone in a race, and everyone else is just cheering you on.
Science necessitates robust empirical evidence - no quantity of logic can substitute this. Even Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity had to be validated through rigorous testing. Simply offering logic, referencing books, presenting mathematical calculations, or accusing an individual or organization does not constitute evidence. Science thrives on empirical evidence, which I regret to say, seems to have eluded Mr Chavda's purview in his discussions and podcasts to date.

The whole video was amazing, found it really to the point. But I have to say that a person can have an opinion outside of consensus and have his own reasons to think that way. Aren't there a lot of examples in history of how general consensus were proven wrong upon further research or findings... So I think that's a topic of discussion rather than calling it "wishful thinking".
Also the thing about " hoping for a supernatural being" is actually the wishing part. It's like saying "Everyone dies someday but I hope immortality is possible" not like he would rather believe in immortality over greater longevity. I think you misunderstood that part a bit. But I agree with everything else. It was a great video with real constructive and meaningful criticism.

So delighted to see this video pop up in my feed! I've been waiting for Pranav to tackle this guy's claims. But, I couldn't help but chuckle before hitting play, realizing the irony of our shared name in this context. LOL.
Kudos for the fantastic breakdown, Pranav!
On the topic of Abhijit's ambiguity about God versus his confidence in enunciating very clear views about 'aliens' using the same rationale, I'd be inclined to cut him some slack in that regard. Having identified as an atheist for nearly two decades, I've come to recognize the delicate nature of challenging someone's core beliefs. Often, these beliefs form the bedrock of their identity. And sometimes, it's more compassionate to let people journey through their beliefs at their own pace rather than confront them.
Keep up the insightful work, Pranav, and cheers to more enlightening content!

I am a regular Abhijit Chavda viewer and an agnostic (not atheist). The thing you said about him being ‘neutral on aliens and hopeful about god’ felt a little incorrect because hope means the desire for a particular thing to happen. AC, me, you and everyone else of scientific temperament is almost certain of existence of extra terrestrial life (statistically speaking) and me being an agnostic, I take a neutral stance on the existence of god, a stance of uncertainty. From all of AC’s talks I’ve heard, he seems to be an agnostic too. When he says that he’s hopeful that there is a god, he means that he ‘wishes that there is a god’ (it’s his desire), because a universe with a god is a lot less intimidating that a universe without a god

A writer of Alexander's time (I have to check the name) wrote about Amatrachus ---> which was Greek of the then king of gangetic plains (Magadha) named DhanaNanda the last Nanda ruler ... and said The forces of Alexander refused to move beyond Indus after the treaty with Puru.... learning about the 200000 foot soldiers and 20000 cavalry with 5000 elephants.... of The Nanda's... The court of Nanda's were having some of the finest sages who dealt with Sun Moon and Stars calculations...
But Pranav is so baised in his science love that he is blinded by that towards the complexity reality presents.... Possibilities are king and rationale is good until it engulfs the raw intelligence.

The "atom" of Kanada is far from being an actual atom. firstly, there is no mention of size of this "atom" in the original vaisheshika sutra. because it a was mystical concept not physics
but later texts have given several inconsistent definitions of Paramāṇu:
in one definition, one paramāṇu is 1/30th of the size of the smallest speck of dust visible to naked eye. there are living beings smaller than that. there is 90 billion atoms in an E. coli bacterium
in another definition, a paramāṇu is 1/32768th size of an barley cone. barley cone is about the size of 1ml of water. there is a trillion atoms in one ml of water.
basically, none of these are even close to being the concept of atom we have today.

So what is there to be proud of? Yes of course you could proud of your own achievements in a particular field of your choice, because that's your work and you should be proud of that. Being proud of one's nationality is different from being a responsible citizen of their country (which includes not spitting on public places, not violating traffic rules, showing respect to fellow citizens irrespective of religion, colour, gender, caste and class and helping one another in need) which many don't want to be.

Hmm. It doesn't really make sense. For example I can claim that 100 or 1000s year later humanity would walk on another planet. I just Don't have enough technological material to actually achieve it.
Does this mean i invented inter-planetary travel?

More recent example, Machine Learning methods of data science theoretically were developed in 1980s but could not be used until recently due to lack of computational power, does it mean machine learning theory was wrong?

@@pulkit8628 yes I also believe so but you're confusing vague mentioning with established theories.
For example we know a man making mechanical wings and flying towards the sun is pretty popular story but that doesn't mean the writer should be given credit for making aeroplanes or jetpack.
Hypothesis have been found about most things since ancient times but they didn't gave Amy exact formula, or evidence that's why they're not credited.
I'm pretty sure millions of people thought about gravity before newton but none of them gave rules, formula etc to actually prove it.

I hope you go to a podcast and say everything 100% logical and correct.
Eveyone has their own interests on different conspiracies and their ideas and beliefs on a subject matter and there is a 100% chance that half of the things he talked was false but i don't think someone sitting in a room should suggest about what the other person said is wrong or right.
